I have moved on from the scrapyard of Red Rocket to The Abernathy Homestead.

It will be a settlement whose whole purpose is to make food and a lot of it and as such, I have rather large plans for this one. I have once again built beyond the border, probably not as crazy as I did at red rocket but still a lot.

The fencing is all outside of the settlement border claiming whole swaths of farmland. Some of it will have crops growing and some trees. The only industry here is to support the homestead.

It will need water and as such from the get-go the settlement has decided to pump water from the stream close to it.

I hope to have this done soon.

Looking forward to it! :clap

So much work to do. So much of it should not even look like work.

I am on the fence with this idea for the latest build. I was thinking of putting down a lot of trees around the Abernathy farm at level 0 and a collapsed barn in the large build area making sure to integrate it into the sounding area so it looks like it is overgrown and needs to be cleared. Then at level 1 a good number of the trees are gone replaced with stumps and more of the wood fencing is put up, the barn is being worked on as housing for extra farmhands. The backfields are in order and more pipes are being laid for irrigation with tanks for water storage. At level 2 the stumps are removed replaced with farmland the fencing is all but complete and a large pen for Brahmin set up for fertilizer and milk. The barn has grown to accommodate the extra hands and now look like a proper bunkhouse. At level 3 the Abernathy farm is now a true homestead and looks the part. Fields ready for crops when the season is correct, a good herd, a bunkhouse which is cosy, pipes are mostly not leaking making sure the homestead has running water, defences set up to cover the area. What do you all think?

I like the evolution you have planned, from needing to be cleared, to housing more people and getting increasingly industrial - while still having the homestead feel. Good ideas!

a quick walkabout of level 0

Level 0 yes, level 0 this farm is one of those locations that already had a family here so I wanted to make it looks like it was already something that had work going on. I am just adding directed manpower and resources to make this the best farm I can.

At level 0 it is 11 population.
3, 3x3 farms with a single settler each, 2 defence, 3 relaxation, 1 bar, 1 advanced water as Connie Abernathy has the stats for it, 1 basic power, 1 industry the sawmill, 1 caravan and the desk.

As for housing, I have put down at level 0 enough for 15 settlers as some of the plots are for 2+ people.
Overall, it will have to have a few people as it is a large farm and I want to to produce a lot in the way of food.

Done and uploaded go grab 1.1

Size is erelvent the second it went upgrade your system would crash due to too much operation power needed to handle it.

I literally set an Xbox on fire once building a vanilla build of vault 88. Smoke and fire rolling out of it.

the size is fine it is all the background commands that will lock your system and I will work on smaller settlements that are my style for xbox.
