Solved Supply lines between settlements ?

Hello,
I'm an old Fallout 4 player but completely new to sim settlements and I'm a bit lost on how to link my settlements for resources.

I'm playing with the latest version, conqueror, using prebuilt settlements at the start of the game and the city plans that come by default with the mod for the ones that are not prebuilt (like the castle etc)
I play with the minutemen and not the raiders so all my settlements are the "vanilla" type and not raider outpost and such.

I'm at a point where I want to link my settlements for resources and in vanilla I would use supply lines but it doesn't seem to work properly for me, in some stations, always the same, either the NPC I select doesn't even register my assignment as provisioner, or even if it works at first 10 min to an hour later if I check my supply lines on the map I notice some have disappeared.Usually always the 3 same, Oberland station, Outpost Zimonja and Greentop nursery.
Always the supply lines going from those settlements, I managed to create one going to Greentop and that one is stable.

So now I'm wondering if I missed a setting somewhere (I'm using mostly the default settings) and that's why I cannot assign settlers myself (they're auto assigned normally) or if it's that I shouldn't be using supply lines but instead a specific function in sim settlement that I missed when watching the guides.

Thanks to anyone who can help me out :)

Ideks is great for automating the provisioner system.

The problem you are actually having is that SS will prioritize plot jobs over vanilla jobs if you don't disable it in the settings holotape.

Check your CM holotape Options|Gameplay|Assignment

You want to make sure that auto assign is set to on and that auto assign away from work is off.

If this configuration doesn't solve the problem of your provisioners getting assigned to new plots as they become available, the next place to look is your city building involvement settings [options| gameplay|city building|involvement].

If this is not set to "default, " whatever it is set to may be overriding the settings above.

Any way, first double check your assignment configuration. If that doesn't fix it, we can roll up our sleeves and go into the city involvement stuff.

Thank you all for your help :)

I've downloaded the mod and it's a huge help I'll definitively let it handle all supply lines from now on.

Being curious I still went and checked my settings to try and understand what was happening with the vanilla lines.
I had the "auto assign away from work" at OFF in the general settings, I had gotten that far by reading the wiki, but many of my local settings were at ON strangely enough, resetting the local settings solved most of the issues except one so I went and checked the city building involvement settings that were indeed at default.
So while I prefer to use the mod at least now I know why I was having issues.

Can I just say I completely forgot that local options was a thing!

I think you @JezaGaia ferreted out the key: what's important ultimately is double checking auto assign away from work objects setting in the the local options. Local options trump global settings.

I was watching the streams about conqueror and all the settings just yesterday that's how I thought about it, but I still don't get how they got different from the global ones as I don't remember changing anything there.
But to be fair it's all new to me and there are a lot of settings so I might have and not even realize it :p
