In a World...
...scorched by nuclear fire,
is a land torn and broken,
yet rising from the ashes,
the hardy vestiges of humanity struggle,
not just to survive, but to Thrive!

Taking shelter in an open cave beside the old theater sparked an idea... this could be a good place to settle...

Previously titled: Starlight, Star bright, the first star I built tonight (well, a few days in)
Disclaimer: and it may yet change again

Note to self: Thinking of a cool story to go with the build, (and a name).

So, this is the progress on the first stage of the settlement - a cave like area to provide a bit of safety that will be in the foundation level (although some parts are done up as higher levels - I build top down, start at level 3 then remove/modify stuff to get the lower levels, however I am sort of working on each level as I go).

Eeek... this build budget is tight (it's less than a half or even a third of my previous city plans)
So I had planned on going with 20 settlers but that needs sacrifice in other areas or have a very bland settlement without decorations....

Will need some more playing around with to see what can fit in.
However, for those wanting less FPS and more stuff, I'm thinking that I could do a layout that can be added once the settlement reaches level 3 to give some more plots and decorations.

Anyway, the latest WIP picture showing the dome added in level 3, Level 2 will add the circular area of the dome base, while Level 1 adds the development of the Projection building, and the open cave area of the foundation level on the right.

Well after a fair amount of time playing about with how much I can fit in I have just about completed Level 3 (just small fixes and the like)
Now time to take it back down to earlier stages of the city plan

The dome functions to attenuate residual atmospheric radiation enabling the lush growth of plants contained within, an ideal setting for those recovering and for a place where great performances can lift the spirit...

such an interesting take on the area.

Gorgeous! The town inside the dome reminds me of the place in Big Mt where the mini deathclaw lives.

NOT MASTERS! - Extended Version!

The Pictures in the post are of the extended version (available in the files on the Nexus page) - I will add these pictures to the Nexus page after voting is closed - however I know it would be good to still see some images somewhere so you can make a choice if you want the extended version...
