Stackable Plots, Work and play, all in plots.

I would like to build a house plot and stack an industry plot on top, store on bottom res on top, or other combinations.
Either that or plots that are both jobs and housing.

I would think if I was in fallout I would like to sleep close to my caps. In this case a store owner would most likely sleep in the store, a farmer would sleep at the farm, and a salvager would live close to the salvage.

interior plots are not as fun as normal plots. I only use them when i have no space.

Hehe that was for my Steel City addon but it sorta fizzed out :(
but stackable plots can be done easy:) just navigation is a problem
ive found using stairs from the in game workshop menu on top of plot stairs help with navigation for higher levels

Here you go by: ohnno https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/25679

Edit - I am very sorry, I did not see pra's post already suggesting this same mod!

Sim-Settlement Scrappers! I enjoy it and it does what you are asking for.
Pathing worked fine for me but you have to add stairs.

Quote from mod page - It works on the ones I tried!
"Version1.02
Version1.02 adds some new factories and a single new commercial plot. (this
is a bit of a experiment)

So I wanted to see if it where possible toplace buildings on top of buildings kinde creating a lower workplace,
where settlers would sweat away and a upper town living space. So all
these new building will have space above them to place other plots.

The Patch provides 3 new lower level factories.
The Patch provides 3 new lower level factories.

Lower Water plant provides
ad level 1 15
ad level 2 20
ad level 3 37

Lower power plant provides
ad level 1 19
ad level 2 25
ad level 3 30

and the repair shop just provides scrap.

New shop is a Medical supplies shop.. To behonist I wanted just a chem shop. But couldn't realy find out how to
do that so .. medical it was!

O and one last things.. yes you can place themon top of each other.. it looks silly with the dirt mount under it.
Hope you guys enjoy the update."

I have to say that I don't think ohnno was thinking of uituit and that Super Tower. I think this is more of a mod looking to double maybe triple stack. It is still a very fun mod! The lower level factories make sense and are very handy then place the residential on top.

What i would love are commercial plots with a residencial plot ontop. The shopkeeper can live above his/her shop. So you order a settler to the shop and its automaticly directed to that living house aswell.

I mean there could be copies from the current available commercials in the buildlist no? So you could still keep the old single shops there but additional to them the shops with homes ontop.

Just use internal plots and build a house around it :)

The more pieces you put together the more messed up is the pathing. One single plot for two funktions means less trouble with pathing. No matter how path optimized the meshes are, more playerside combinations means more pathing trouble. So its not that "just" really ^^

I use the lower repairshop, lower powerstation, lower water, and the lower chemshop... then stack whatever on top. To take care of the pathing issues, I place a new solid floor on top of them, then snap a new plot the floor... have had good luck with this on smaller, or condensed builds...

One of the nicest and handiest residential houses mixed with these is the Victorian Doss house, which houses many beds... power/water/scrap/housing/chems in 5 plots...

“The Victorian Doss house”

Man I love that plot! I am so glad you pointed that one out to folks. I use it in all my early settlements! One of the handest also for a player.

It takes care of the early settlers so you don't have to babysit the settlement.... would be nice if the MA rebooted it with a bit more scrappy grandeur.... I don't stack multiples next to each other, usually build around and on to make it moreso... but playing survival mode, building huge settlements at get go is not good idea.

but yeah, love it too.
