Yeah on Survival this is a tough fight. There is a bed in a near by cabin I saved there first and got it on my third try.
If you have access to a chem bench, you should be able to craft a robot repair kit. Under Healing menu.I ended up running away, stalling a bit until dayight, asnd then piciking therm off. It was still a beast. I lost Curie in the process as I had to leave her behind and when I went back to get her I couldn't interact with her. Not sure if it's an Automatron thing. I have triggered the quest in my list, but not actually gone near the rescue location to keep robots and rust devils from spawning. It could be that I needed to have a robot repair kit to revive her (haven't seen any yet), but it's been a while since I played that DLC.
You next new game you need to install this mod first (or something similar.)I ended up running away, stalling a bit until dayight, asnd then piciking therm off. It was still a beast. No Quest Autostart - Automatron at Fallout 4 Nexus - Mods and community
This makes it so Automatron will only start when you tune in on the radio.
No more avoiding the Cambridge Wattz area, especially when SS1 and SS2 has a lot of quests in the area.
haha yeah, I died a good number of times here too. I have a full-on gun list all standalone and the Gunners are all packing some nasty equipment. I normally hunt them hence I like them equipped with my future equipment :PJust did this fight on Survival myself, and... dang. Took me 5 tries. Had to find a good spot to hide (and let Aiden soak some fire for me - why oh why did I still have the "Grenade Pistols" mod active, man those hurt)
My biggest problem was actually that it was a bit foggy for me (weather mod), so I could barely spot them except for the muzzle flashes. I may or may not have pinged Aiden in the back a couple times, especially once he stopped using his silenced rifle and picked up a Plasma Pistol off a dead Gunner.haha yeah, I died a good number of times here too. But that many and caught in the open yeah first 2 times I died getting to cover, 3rd time I killed myself 4th time a good nade got me and 5th time ran down and before talking to him threw mines, where the gunners come from I, was ready with explosives and the high ground I had my fun.
I also play on survival and it was an intense encounter at night in T45 PA. I use the survival options mod which allows me to fast travel and this mod also allows you to adjust your weapons outgoing damage and the gunners incoming damage without turning survival off. I normally play on outgoing/incoming damage multipliers of 1.5/1.5, however, if that particular mission is difficult you can adjust the outgoing/incoming damage multipliers to 2.0/0.5, for example. The mod is here https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/14650 I have never had a problem with this mod, however, I typically play with 40 to 60 mods versus some who play with 400 mods.I'm playing on survival. Once you leave survival you can't go back on it. I suspect there are mods that change it, but it sort of spoils it if I can turn it off and on at will.
I use the same mod, and I have mine set to 1.5/1.5 as well, but it honestly never occurred to me that I could change incoming damage for just that encounter. I'm past it now, but sometimes I miss the simple things.I also play on survival and it was an intense encounter at night in T45 PA.
