Slightly Off-Topic - Question Regarding Place Everywhere - Solved

I am a low-level user of the Place Everywhere mod. The first problem, I encountered, was - the mod was not always enabled in the game even though it is enabled in the Vortex mod list. After some research, the work-around is to go back to the Vortex list and disable and then re-enable the mod. The next problem was F5 does not toggle the out of workshop timer. After some research and trying several work-arounds (disable/enable mod, clicking F5 in and out of workshop mode, clicking F5 in and out of workshop space), none of which worked, I would appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks as always.

PS: at the Castle, I need to place some turrets on the southwest causeway to prevent losing anymore settlers from walking into a Mirelurk razorclaw and hunter.

The first thing I would try is manually installing Place Everywhere and manually re-installing the F4SE files allowing it to overwrite everything. I have heard rumors that some mods may overwrite F4SE files and cause all kinds of problems.

The other thing you can do is setup the place.ini file so you can manually toggle Place on/off with the F8 key to see if it is indeed working.
ALL hotkeys and notification messages can be changed in config file (Data\F4SE\Plugins\place.ini)
If you don't have place.ini yet, rename place_example.ini to place.ini
Information about what any option do can be found in place_ini_help.txt

If you're not playing on survival, I think F5 is mapped to Quicksave by default. You might want to check that first.

So what was the issue?
Regarding the F5 issue, my first response, the classic excuse, is operator error. My fallback excuse, is a senior moment. Lastly, an - Oops! - due to having two computers that are always "on", and bouncing between the two with a controller for FO4/SS2. Lets just say, if you don't click all the correct keys in the correct order, on the correct computer, you do not get the desired results, no matter how many times you try. :grin

Thanks for your suggestion/follow-up - this operator needs more training.

PS: enabling the Place Everywhere is still a legit issue, but has a work-around (Vortex disable/enable)

PPS: on a more positive note, I did learn a'bit more about the Place Everywhere mod.
