Sims 2 rise of the Commonwealth crashing consistently

Edit: found a new crash. Do not attach wires to the street lights, it crashes everytime.

Hey, guys so idk if it's just me but since I downloaded the rise of the Commonwealth for SS2 it's been crashing constantly. It first happened at Tampines bluff when I replaced the city plan. Crash. Turned off the tour part and tried again. Crash. Tried again and fast traveled out of the settlement. Was fine for a few minutes. Crash.

So I tried a different settlement. County crossing. The same thing even turned off auto assignments. Helped some but crashed again later on.

I can't play for more than five minutes without it crashing. I removed the mod and the crashing stop.

Is anyone else having this problem or is something wrong on my end?

I'm playing on PC btw. Settings are on default except auto-assignment is turned off.

I’ve been semi successful with it no crashing from city plan construction. Did you make sure your wsfw and other requirements are updated to the latest versions ? Also do you have any other mods that alter the workshop ? Also pc specs may help figure out stuff as well.

I would also try turning off the part that flys you around the city while it’s building I’ve had issues occasionally with that feature.

I'm starting to think maybe the code that runs when scrapping a plot can overload the Papyrus VM. I have a 50-50 odds of a CDT just scrapping 6 plots in a row in a settlement with a 15ish population. The worst offender seems to be the Caravan plot. I seem to have a 5% chance of CDT just scrapping this plot alone.

So, if you are scrapping a decent sized settlement full of plots, you will have a decent chance to CDT. I would try manually deleting producing plots like caravan, ag, power and water first before using a scrap settlement command or building a city plan.

Yes, everything is up to date. That was the first thing I checked. The only "fix Mods" I have is to fix the sanctuary bridge and Jamaica plain building which if that's the problem I will disable.

PC specs?

Yea I turned off tour mode the moment it came out in the update

The game crashes even when I leave the settlement it'll crash maybe after a few minutes.

But I'll give this method a try and see. I've been hiding in Vault 88 because it seems to increase my time limit a little bit before crashing again.

Wait for Friday’s patch seems there’s a few issues being worked on-relating to the rotc plans from what has been posted.

land yeah get rid of scrap everything it breaks precombines and probably explains the crashing when it does the flying tour around cause it’s loading to much stuff and overloading the system.

Do you run Scrap Everything? If so you need to uninstall it not disable. Redo your inis and then probably a new game.
Yes I do. Because I don't use city building for all my settlements just the ones I don't like. I rather not start a new game for the third time because of SS2 I was told about a patch this coming friday so I'm going to wait it out for a bit and see. I believe i got it to stop crashing by preloading a save before I started using it so I'm going to work on a settlement one at a time by hand till its empty and start from there.

I saw that and turned off the tour part. I'm going to wait for the patch and see what happens. I dom't want to start a new game again because I'm frankly getting burned out over a mod thats suppose to help so you can play more but lately I've been having to micromanage everything or else risk a crash.

He patch won't fix what scrap everything breaks. It even breaks the vanilla game after you build so much. Sorry that is the facts. If you use scrap everything it does not at all for any reason play nice with Sim Settlements one or two. .in fact it is listed as a known incompatibility issue with both versions.

I'll uninstall it if that's what I gotta do
