I've just started a new playthrough. Currently I'm thinking about the following:
1. Auto-Assign Off for both WSFW and SS2
- My reasoning is I'd like to try some of the smaller multi-settler res plots to see if it helps keep my build limit under control. With auto-assign there seems to be quite a few reports where auto-assign will have a settler take up multiple beds (and sometimes multiple jobs)
2. Auto Plot Upgrades Off
- for the reason that
@msalaba mentioned earlier in the thread about having an entire settlement try to upgrade multiple plots simultaneously
3. Maintenance Costs for turrets / generators Off
- Again, there seems to be a few posts about either the maintenance costs work perfectly, or the maintenance costs don't work at all (either too much taken out of the workbench or nothing at all)
4. Take from Workbench Off (?)
- Related to scrap difficulty level, this one I'm up in the air about, it seems that depending on the scrap level you play at either your workbench items get ransacked in alphabetical order, or they maybe don't.. I've been playing on scrap categories for the most part, but I'm thinking about running scrap components on my new playthrough just to see if I like that level of involvement. I am concerned however with the lack of reporting features that have yet been released for SS2, and the commonality of forum posts regarding the resource panel freaking out displaying huge numbers
- As related to Settlers and food, Now that I've learned more about how the farm plots produce, I've been dropping at least 2 farm plots in all my settlements, until I get a more massive farming settlement running (Abernathy I'm looking at you) The biggest reason I've run this as disabled in the past is because I normally play Survival Mode, and having that Razorgrain coming into the workbench for soup is a MUST!
