Not a bug Scavenger support issue

Hi,

I went to build scavenger support and assigned someone to it. The building starts building and completes (the message says a factory was completed) the light is green but the building isn't there. Just the desk with the blueprints and some concrete blocks (the unbuilt model). When I look at the plaque it shows Scavenger support, I thought it would turn into a dispatcher but thats not happening. Any thoughts?

Oh this was working before i a different playthrough. I made a new game recently and thats when i started seeing this.

Thanks,

V

I'm not going to be as quick to respond as nor
mal, sorry (I just bought a house and am moving), but a few questions to get started:

1) Do you have the Sim Settlements Tags mod? If so remove it and try again for me.

2) Which version of my mod do you have?

3) Which settlement is this in?

4) Where is the building at in the settlement (mostly this question is: "is the building in a dead zone where the hud framework bars disappear"):

5) have you tried in multiple settlements or just one?

6) Does the desk have a pencil on it? (I know this sounds wierd, but the pencil is the activator that makes it swap buildings plans :P)

No problem, hope you move goes well and congrats on the new home.

1) Don't use it.
2)8.0.1.a, just reinstalled it last night in hopes that would fix it, no luck.
3) Starlight
4) It's near the projector in Starlight, normal type spot, other plots work in the same space (i tried moving it around to see if that would help, no luck)
5) Just tried it in Red Rocket to check, same issue.
6) Great question, I don't see a pencil, just a paper, some blueprints a box etc. Definitely no pencil that I can see.

Thanks,

V

Hmm, perhaps I broke it somehow in 0.8.1a, I'll see if someone else can test for me to confirm. If not it'll be a few days before I can do any proper testing once my desktop is set back up

i'm having the same issue as well even tried a few things to try and see what it could be but all i could figure was at some point the scripting for deciding the building broke ether because i made a scavenger support once and now it's stuck or some other strange script error that could make it skip the first building.
i also figured out it isn't the number of them since i removed one of the ones that actually was made before the break and nothing also figured it was distance but tested that as well.
so really not sure what much i can do to try and help figure out what the bug or glitch is because i really can't play without that plot since it's the only way for me to get settler because of a vanilla game bug.

edit: i think i may have jumped the gun since it seems it does change to the right building but maybe the guy who made this post thought it did because it was just the desk. if not then sorry thought i had the same bug but i might later can never tell with my game and can't be 100% my self so will try and help figure this out if i can.
since really mod breaks are no fun more so when your like me and just got into the swing of things when they happen.

edit 2: just had a look and maybe whats happening is his plot is crashing when it tries to use the script to make the plot change since i just watched the plot have a hang time so maybe for some PCs it's having a crash the mod can't identify as a crash

Just a nitpick: the blueprint is called "Scavanger support", not "Scavenger support"

Thanks Pra but the word is actually spelled Scavenger.

I think I may have solved my issue, I was playing Saturday night and slept in a bed. When I woke up I had the popup message that I had enabled the alternated recruitment etc. So i started watching the time and somehow something was messing with the timescale in my game. It was always 8:32am unless I rested. I don't have any mods which are supposed to mess with timescale so I went back through my saves and checked if the time was advancing, set me back about 2 days of playtime but I found one where the time is working normally. So I loaded that save up and tested and now everything is working normally.

Weird :/

and on the spelling: I'm not surprised I spelled it wrong, I'm an awful speller. I'll correct it if I remember once I have internet back at home
