Save Bug - Vault 81, Any Save crashes game

the Saving bug is really really bad in Vault 81; specifically if you have the SS2 quest active while doing ANY other Vault 81 quest, especially when getting the Cure. Cannot even exit the Secret Vault level, quicksave, autosave.

Best work around is to do the SS2 quest at 81 first before even getting the tour from Austin. Saving is still slow but doesn't crash the game, but it is still not advised to save while in the secret vault. You can exit the level and complete the quest.

Tried this in a new save and existing save - worked best in a new save, but it will consistently crash the entire game and force a restart if saving in the Secret Vault while having the SS2 quest active.

Jesus christ how does this even happen it's not even a settlement. So to be clear. Do the sim settlements quest before the curie? Do we just have to do it in one go with all saves turned off?

Do the Sim Settlement quest before doing Curie, yes. I turn on God Mode to get through getting to Curie and getting out of the quest area.

I also did try vault 81 with the old version of SS2 before chapter 2 dropped - still happened.

I uninstalled the mod totally, it was fine.

New save, on Vim and Vigor. Mansfield didn't even respond to me after his intro speech. Had to use the cheat tool to skip the quest.

But I can save in 81 now....

Hold on, if it's indeed a bug...we'd all have it.

Never once had a ctd in vault 81.

Sometimes it's your own mods/load order.

Vault 81 has always been temperamental even unmodded. I found that using this mod I will link below fixed it - yes it might not SEEM like it should matter, but it 100% does. Remember what's in the Secret Vault half...

Thank you, the mod fixed it! I thought this would be an SS2 bug, but unsurprisingly, it was a Bethesda bug.
