Robot Residential Plots

Is it possible to create Residential Plots for Robots? Nice charging station, spare fuel canisters and the like? Just curious, or are they treated outside the scope of residents?

By the game mechanics, Robot Settlers dont even need beds, plus they lack a TON of animations for using the various settlement objects.

I understand not needing a bed, maintenance and refueling is another issue for immersion purposes. But isn't it all about the immersion? :)

Sure, Im just saying itd likely be tricky to get it to work, given the robots seem to lack the "need to go sleep" script-set. Although, the "charge station" could probably be set internally as a "relaxation marker" (like chairs etc) so they go use it randomly? I have noticed Ada goes and stands idle by Bars so that trigger setup must work on them...

It is a cool idea maybe when faction come to SS2.

This is a very neat idea. Can I add this to my list plots to try to develop? This fits into my Idea of race specific plots.
I would love that. I'm always trying to keep up with the mechanicals, are they counted as population, do they all have a job, etc. If the number of residential plots matched the entire population including robots it would be easier to do so. A Mr Handy fuel tank suspended upside down like an IV bag, with scaled down fuel pump (from the Red Rocket) imbedded in it would look cool.

Could also make them simple 1 x 1 plots with charging stations similar to the ones in Nuka-World. I am also seeing a 2 x 2 plot with multiple charging stations, and a robot Crafting station plot worked into the mix.

A 3x3 industrial plot that is super advanced that is a steel mill or something akin that has a single settler and 3 robots that do all the work walking and talking and doing their thing.

It might also help with the "robots count towards the total settlers number but don't take residential plots so the UI looks inconsistent" problem if they did, in fact, get a type of residential plot, which sets their default Happiness to 80 so you don't need to use Cogsworth for every settlement with robots in it. Maybe have the number of "beds" it provides go up to two or three, since Fallout Robots don't usually need to charge for the same amount of time that humans need to sleep. There are a few problems like "how to make sure only one robots tries recharging at a time" and "how the hell do you deal with a robot that has those godforsaken sentry legs", but ya know.

it would make sense use industrial or commercial plot for robot maintenance pod for service and repair, while it take 1 settler to work or operate the plot.

Now see normally I'd agree with you, but I don't think Fallout Robots actually require so much maintenance as to necessitate having a settler dedicated to it constantly. See; Greygarden, the Robotics Galleria, the several consumer robotics stores with still-working robots in and around them, all of the Sentry Bots out and about that can still activate.
