I searched and didn't find out. Is it movable? And most importantly. Will it stay moved after making the city plan.
I have read place anywhere can move things that aren't selectable. Anyone tried that in city builds? Or a console way? Something legal for contest.

You can move it with Place Anywhere extra object selection (insert key) If you build the City Plan first and then move the workbench it "should" stay moved. Not the other way around

I like to build up and save plan 0,1, etc. as I go. Much easier than finish settlement and tear down. 3, 2, etc.
So, I must wait until the very end to move workbench? Regardless of building up or tearing down?

BTW to those of you that are mentally challenged. Like me. Ins Key is num pad zero. And I believe you need to hit the num lock key first. Top left key on num pad.

When I was young, I could put 2 and 2 together. Now? I can't do it even if I had access to a supercomputer.

You're asking about creating a City Plan? I would guess you can move it at any stage. If you're just using one in game, wait for the settlement to finish initial build before moving

I've done a test. I moved the bench. Saved the plan. Built it on the website. Zipped it. Put in game. The bench is back to where it was. If I save the plan, then move the bench, it won't be in the plan that way.

There is probable a way to do this and like usual I don't know how and searching Google hasn't helped. If you don't use right terms, you'll never get the results you want from Google. It's kinda like a dictionary. If you don't know how to spell at least the first part of the word, you'll never find. For decades I tried to figure out how to spell newmoanya. I eventually gave up.

EDIT like NDQ said. I can move bench and it will stay in place. But I'm talking about when building city plans.

Don't move the workbench.

I haven't been able to figure out how, so....

I have a similar problem, though not with a workbench. If I move children beds - which I can only select with place everywhere - they turn up twice in the plan. At the original position and the one I moved them. I am guessing it might be for same reason as the unmovable workbench?

I don't think the children's beds at Somerville are in the vanilla scrap profile.
If you leave them in your export they will double up (even if not moved - if you click on them in console the origninals are 0022da52 and 0022da53 the ones that SS2 adds will have the SS2 prefix - the first two hexadecimals - which for me is ff).

To get rid of them when your city plan initializes you will probably need to create a custom scrap profile - and you may need to pick them up, then drop them using [TAB] in the unscrapped export, and scrap them in the scrapped export, otherwise they will likely stay when the city plan is initiated.
