Random encounter issue

I am not 100% sure if this is a Sim Settlements issue but I am going to bring it up because I reloaded the game AND NMM twice with fresh mods and all.

I had to do another fresh save because I feel like this whole process is giving me a lot of crap even though all the mods I use seemed to be working just fine AND THEN I started playing SS2 and some weird things have been popping up. The one I am dealing with now is I'll be running around in-game, I came across those random settlers (or Gene with his dog) and the game will ask where I can send them. I click on a settlement and...I get the dialogue as if I never answered and they just sort of stand there instead of heading to the settlement I sent them. Vault-Tec rep was doing this, too. For some reason, Sheffield seemed to be the only one who was functioning properly at the beginning of my previous save (I've since restarted the game. I'm trying to find a stable set of mods so I can play this game the way I want to).

Current mod list.

I also did the Texture optimization project and ENBoost.

I'm finding I am having a lot of other random issues with..various things. I might do patreon so I can join the discord because this is driving me nuts. This is probably the 9th time I've restarted this game in an attempt to get this to work.

Ah. Don't you just love visual aids?

PS: I...didn't mean to kill that guy.

HUDFramework should be above WorkshopFramework in the load order, but other than that, I don't see any issues I'm 100% certain of in that load order... if it's doing it even for the 'vanilla random encounters' like that guy in your video, that's REALLY odd. My first thought is script-lag overload...

But wasn't ENBoost supposed to help with the script lagging issue?
I DO run a potato...

I am having issues sending companions or any settler anywhere. They just go home. Also some uniques are bugged not counting towards population.

So this is surprising to hear, not that I’ve paid too much attention, because you can’t put Hud above the Workshop on Xbox. Interesting

Sooo....depending on how you "reloaded" things exactly....some of the issue might be NMM.

Basically - don't use it. It is outdated tech and it has a lot of problems.
One from being REALLY bad at identifying and managing load conflicts AND it can really clutter up your data drive, since it actually copies files there.
It is also known to not completely uninstall things - so that can cause problems too.

I would not recommend it for any load order of any complexity.

I would REALLY suggest a more modern and advanced mod manager.

A good mod manager helps in finding issues and turning mods on and off;
  • Vortex is powerful, somewhat easy to use, and well supported.
  • Mod organizer 2 is very powerful, not as easy to use, and well supported.

Both are used successfully by tens of thousands of users.
Check on youtube for tutorials by gamerpoets on successful installation.

Personally, I prefer mod organizer 2, but lots of people are happy with vortex, so each to their own.

I guess I can try vortex again but it wouldn't load the plugins when i installed a mod. And...NMM seemed to be working just fine with SS1 so..I dunno. I'll try it again.
