Raider vault 88

I am working my way away from the castle with my builds I have done jamaica plans and now I am at vault 88.

I am after your aid here. I have a few ideas as it is. But I wanted to hear from you first.

I have to stick to core game items so no Nuka world stuff, as it is a vault I will be using vault assists etc.
no more than 15 people etc, you know the rules for settlement comps, this is just for me but it is fun to make settlements well for me it is and sticking to the rules make it harder and that is also fun.

So.

Do I go at it as a vault that was all happy and the like and then raider it up as in kill everyone dead bodies blood etc?
Or do I go a vault that was half-built that some settlers found and made a shantytown down here and then I raider that up as in slave them all?
Or do I go a full-on vault and do not raider it up at all and have all the "raiders" in vault tec uniforms and experiment to our heart's content on settlers?

This is to be a working settlement so you can take it over as part of Conq and have it be part of the raider empire.

Yes it will be after you do the start-up quests for it etc so you will not find a settlement down here but I want to have an idea on how to build it so when you do take it over you have a direction for how it will look.

Your input, please.
 
My roommate had & idea to have the main vault area as a full fledged vault, but the other areas were shantytowns that were supporting the main vault. His idea also had those 2 areas at odds with each other. Kinda of like the rich & poor.

This has taken a back seat at the moment. the Idea is still there is about 10% complete will get this done just it might have to wait for when I have a week of works or something as it will be an epic build.

I’m going to use McCready as the guy in charge of my vault and it is going to be my capital of the wasteland. McCready has a thing that lets him recruit from all the factions. This way I’ll have menagerie of citizens in the vault.
