I can't post links yet, but what about support for Raider Overhaul from Nexus?

It should work fine , I use it and my raiders get equipped with basic gear from that mod

Thanks. I made the suggestion as I haven't really played through the raider part yet. Started a new game yesterday specifically to do so.
