Question Regarding Starting A Settlement Over

I'm just curious if it is possible to completely start over a settlement you've built on and have settlers in.

Mainly I just realized "this could be planned out better" the other day and would love to just tear it all down. But I'm not too sure if I demolished all of the plots, would it break the game? Or is there some setting/option I'm missing to make this possible?

Thank you all in advance.

Workbench have a Tool to scrap all from Workshop Framework. Its only very slow and Save the Game before you do it to avoid Bugs but if all Work normal there is no Problem if you Scrap an entire Settlement to start new

I see no reason you couldnt just manually scrap all the plots and start over, if you wanted to go that way; the scripts might get a bit backed up despawning all the Plot Objects so dont go too fast, but otherwise i think it SHOULD be ok?

I tried this in Sanctuary, but the planners desk still offers to refresh the city, implying that it thinks there is one, despite my having scrapped everything! And also using Raze My Settlement. For hours (real time) I have a completely scrapped Sanctuary with a planners desk, a city plan that I can 'refresh' but no building whatsoever.
If there were a console command to 'release' the city plan that might be useful.

When you scrap your settlement with the SS2 or WF tools do NOT watch the settlement. Turn and look away and it goes ten times faster.

After you have scrapped everything you just use the option to build a new plan. If you can not select or choose another plan, then you probably aint got another plan for that settlement.

Well I just spent hours (real time) in County Crossing, returned to an empty Sanctuary, the planner's desk still offers to let me refresh a non-existent city!

You can try to call the leader from Sanctuary back and assingn him to some other Settlement and then reassign to Sanctuary after 2-3 Days ingame.

When I try to scrap( I go into the ASAM menu -Advanced options-Delete plot) a plot I dont get the ASAM back. How can I delete plots and get the ASAM back to build something else

I wasnt intending on building in that spot. I realized I have too many farms and wanted to build a rec plot so i destroyed the farm but didnt get the ASAM back
If you have in the Option Move entire Plot on you can Move the Plot in the same way as all items in the Building Menu. After you place him where you like change Plot type in the ASAM.Or go on in the Quest later you can Build ASAMs and Jack give you a lot of them
