(Wait, what happened to 1.0.2d??? We did an internal build of that and I never got around to posting it public.)

Tonight's beta includes a new build of Workshop Framework. Thanks to @Whisper I was finally able to find the assignment bug! This was likely causing issues with SS2 as well. If you have an NPC assigned to a combination of items that doesn't make sense, it may fix itself after you visit the settlement next. If I fixed it as fully as I believe I did, this issue should not occur any longer - especially with non-Plot food/defense assignables.

I'm not 100% positive this was the cause of the excess plot assignment issue, and I don't think it is related to the Multi-person assignment issues - those I'll be investigating separately.

Beyond that, the following things were addressed:
  • Fixed a bug with one of the sculptures from Archibald that could crash the game for some users.
  • Made a large number of behind the scenes changes in preparation for the upcoming City Planner’s tools release.
  • Tweaked Old Paul’s face settings slightly to attempt to eliminate the spiked ear bug that occurs for some players.
  • Restored the Decorations menu to the Sim Settlements workshop menu. This includes settlement controlled flags and banners, and is also used for some rewards that can be unlocked.
  • Fixed Lacey Buckle’s quest again. This was broken due to a merge. (If you notice a pattern here with things rebreaking and me citing the issue as due to a merge, we unfortunately lack proper version control tools for the CK across our global team - so this occasionally occurs).
  • All SS2 character idle dialogue (lines the NPCs speak unprompted when you are in their vicinity) is now on a 1 hour timeout so they won’t spam the lines while standing near the player. Exception are the shopkeeper barks on certain NPCs that were introduced with patch 1.0.2.
  • Fixed a position bug with one of the holiday decorations.
  • Fixed preview texture for Gravel Terraformer.
  • Disabled havok on several oil lamp forms in SS2 that are used by building plans.
  • Fixed a bug where talking to any NPC after receiving an objective to return the quest giver would cause the quest “Red Handed” to advance.

Thank you so much @kinggath and kingTeam! I am using "u talk to much" which basically changes the gobals.
Good, that SS2 npcs now don't hammer with the same line again and again and again
I had to leave settlement more then once, to not shoot old Paul and his thingamabops :grin :grin :grin

you may try to press the 3 little dots on the top right corner > add star > go to your drive > starred on the left > make a copy to your drive and download it

I'm unsure if the beta caused these issues but I only noticed them last night after updating: I play with the scrap set on Scrap Categories but I noticed my HUD was only displaying one number. Changing the setting to Scrap or Scrap Components seems to actually change it to Scrap Categories (starts displaying 4 numbers in the HUD) and there doesn't seem to be a way currently to actually set it to Scrap Components. Also, a new settler showed up and I am unable to use any secondary commands with her (renaming with What's My Name, scanning with the Vitomatic). Also, turning off auto-assign doesn't seem to work, but I noticed that pre-patch.

Tonight's beta includes a new build of Workshop Framework.
To clarify how to run this for folks using Vortex; just disable the existing Workshop Framework (2.0.6) and when installing this Public Beta from the file provided, Vortex will tell you that it contains multiple mods and ask if you want to enable them all. You do.

Im now getting a pop up in game that says my Workshop Framework is out of date and was wondering if its going to affect my game?

You need to install the included Workshop Framework update as well.

Some of those are likely exclusive to the MCM menu. I think the person on the team who put it together didn't test all of the options. I'm fixing them as I learn about them though. The holotape options should all be working whenever an MCM option fails.

As far as alternate activations, that's going to have to do with whatever other mods you have that add alternate activations. If more than one is added simultaneously, none of them work.

Must be some excitement about this beta! Heh, that or Google has recently changed their rules?

Anyone have any suggestions on alternate file-sharing sites I can use for these? Wanted to avoid all the sleazy sites that bombard you with advertisements.

@kinggath Just downloaded this. It might be a limit on anonymous users. If you aren't logged into Google Drive, might give that a shot, but I'm not 100% positive.

After setting it through the holotape everything is working as intended. Thank you for the help sir.

Workshop Plus was causing the issue with the activations. With the track items prompt disabled, SS2 and What's My Name play relatively well together.

I have no Google account and have no intention of getting a Google account. I use DuckGoGo for my search engine. No Googling here. :blum But anyway, I will wait my turn in line with the other anonymous users, if that is the problem.

I had that on a previous patch download from Google Drive. I had cleared my browser cache and all the auto logins were cleared. Google wouldn't let me download after a dozen attempts. Noticed I wasn't logged in and thought "worth a try" Logged in an I could download immediately

I guess they want that tracking data..... :scratchhead

The only other one I can think of would be Microsoft One Drive, but most likely have the same issues. Seems all the good old file sharing sites either got devoured by the big ones or turned to the dark side...

You're most likely better off staying with Google Drive.

That's a great tip!!! :) There was a beta a while ago that was packed like this and Vortex didn't install WSFW. I had to open the zip and do it manually. Vortex did not like that... I must be old fashioned, I miss NMM.
