Public Beta 1.0.1d

Its ok I found it but the box that tells you where it is should say ss2 power switches or something to say its in ss2 and not in power switches very confusing.
I am also using sim settlements menu manager.

I have just built a basic powerplant and I got a box open up saying I had to use a municipal power switch to get things working so looked in switches and its not there so I installed mod manager and its still not there I cannot get any power and it is producing 75power any suggestions to solve this problem. Thanks
Was the power plant unlocked because of a city plan?
Did you complete Vim and Vigor yet to unlock municipal plots?

I did all that was available I am now waiting for part 2, I am disabled so I play games all day it keeps my mind active as the TV is just repeats.

I downloaded SS2 through Bethesda. How do I update through there? I only have literally just SS2 and the required extras downloaded but there are some bugs so i'm hoping the updates will fix em... It's probably a very simple process i'm just crazy new to anything mod related

You would need a mod manager program.
The two programs are Vortex or Mod Organizer.
Personally I prefer suggesting Vortex because it is far "noob friendly" while MO takes mod managing experience to use properly.

ok, i do have Vortex installed... I can download the patches through there and they'll work even though SS2 is through Bethesda and not Vortex?

I have ss2, ss2 wasteland adventurers add on pack, ss2 superstructures, ss2 ruined homes and gardens, I also d/l ss2 XDI compatibility patch.
The XDI patch will not run it says I have not installed required components is the patch for the ones I have listed or is it for some other mods I don't have please let me know.

awesome, thanks! Sorry, I am a major greenie with mods, so I greatly appreciate the help!
Make sure you disable the old SS2 in Vortex before enabling the new one! This will save you some headaches.

As the author of the patch, I can tell you that it requires SS2 and XDI (Extended Dialog Interface). If you do not have both of these mods installed, the patch will not work. If you do not have XDI, you do not need the patch.

I have ss2 but not the XDI , so I will remove the XDI patch from my Vortex list, Thanks

I did the side quest with Hubert it went ok but I had to reload back to an earlier save and when I got to Hubert quest again the angry ghoul just kept repeating the same responses and leaves then a female asks for a vote for leader and it stops there and no-one would interact I tried reloading it several times but I still got the same so I have started a new game, I don't know if it was bugged or just reloading caused the problem.

after starting a new game, Jake built the first house, and as he was talking to me a settler came up and introduced herself, talking over Jake, and he just stopped all interaction with me, and would not interact no more, so after reloading the game back to just before Jake appears, and started the quest again, the same thing happened again, so I typed in to my console disable Jake, then enable Jake, and he started to interact again.

Municipal Power Switches (and, as an alternative, Municipal Power Pylons) should be found in the "Power" category in the Sim Settlements menu.
