First of all, thank you for this mod. I already loved the base building and management in this game and Sim Settlements made it a hundred times more interesting. However I...uh...have a bit of an issue right now in Sanctuary.
I used the spring cleaning mod to scrap the pre-war player home and build fresh, and made my cave in the attached garage with all the things I need to manage my gear and crafting, plus some places to just chill. The problem is when I woke up the next morning, I was greeted by a swarm of Sim Settlements generated NPCs who had somehow gotten into a locked room using no doors, impressive on its own, and were currently using my sanctum.
This was a surprise as I've used a mod for a while called Private Area Markers. (Can't post the link but take the time to Google it if you haven't heard of it, trust me its a must have.)
If you've ever been annoyed at settlers constantly barging into your home, this thing is a friggin' life saver. The basics of it are you put down markers that cover about the area of a standard floor tile, and any Settler who enters the area gets instant transmission'd back into the settlement. For maximum peace of mind, I always place the markers in a ring around my house as well, to ensure my door isn't constantly being kicked in by Settlers seconds before Scotty takes them.
Problem is, these fools are immune to its effects, and are thus free to break and enter the player's house whenever it suits them. So perhaps a compatibility patch that adds the Sim Settlements generated NPCs to Private Area Marker's lightspeed dash?
PS: Not a suggestion, but I really hope this mod makes the jump to Fallout 76 if it's even half as focused on base building as I'm hearing.
