I installed conquerors on a partially new character and had some interesting interactions happen. I run no AI mods and when I was constructing in sunshine tidings after a few days of working I got a pop up randomly awarding me the excecutioner perk. Preston was in my settlement and for some reason got attacked by my settlers and was at no life but not in the down but not out state but still in animation for the city planners desk because of all the saving and reloading that happens when i build. Preston began attacking my Caravan Brahmin and Sanctuary settlers that are unique (Sturges, Jun, Murphy, Marcy) also attack the Caravan Brahmin on sight. Preston at a few points was hostile to me and the second I dismissed him as a companion he killed me. I got around this by fast traveling and saving/waiting for 24 hours.I will see if I can replicate this bug with a new character and can provide a mod list.
