Question Plots not repositioning on refresh. (Need help testing)

Refreshing my plots doesnt reposition them. Previously I could place a plot, use fine tuning adjustments to move the plot via Place Anywhere, and then refresh the plot, and it would recenter the contents of the plot like you would expect. The thing I would key off of is the ASAM sensor. It doesnt reposition to its correct spot on the power pole, and thus none of the contents do either. This used to work 100% of the time.

Doing some more investigating, it appears that every plot I have placed and then adjusted with the fine adjustments (using the number pad to rotate and reposition via Place anywhere) has their ASAM sensors in the spot the plot was originally placed. This pertains to plots that I placed and adjusted long ago. I just started a new game today to see if it was a script backup issue, but it is still doing it on this fresh save.

While not seemingly specific to Conquerer, I posted here because this issue just started happening when I dowloaded the Oct 11 update for Conquerer. I would love some help testing to see if anyone else can replicate this on their end. If no one can reproduce, I will do some more digging and start methodically removing mods to see if it is some odd conflict.

I haven't played since updating everything on Friday.

Something is/seems different.

After using PA to move interior plot:

This is expected.

But after refreshing this plot:

Refresh usually/used to move the sensor back to the box.

After selecting this plot, choosing the teardown/build another option, but then canceling without moving:

But PA is acting crazy. I'm having a hard time finding a reliable way to get then sensor and plot in sync after moving. Playing with it has sometimes resulted in the box/plot moving to the sensor and other times the sensor moving to the box. I use PA to fine tune most every plot. It's become second nature. This is something that used to not be a problem or worth a thought.

This is a plot that was already placed in game using PA prior to Friday's update:

Refreshing this plot moved the sensor higher up the pole:

Using the customize foundation option shows that the plot has moved back to the spot it was placed prior to adjusting with PA:

You can see that its no longer flush with the bottom of the peripheral wall.

This was my second test with this plot. The first refresh test moved the sensor higher up the pole. But some mysterious combination of choices returned every thing to it's position before the refresh.

Thanks for testing and posting some screen shots. I have seen basically all of the behaviors you have mentioned. I also fine tune most plot positions with PA, second nature like you said, and its really throwing me off.

The select - teardown - cancel is a decent workaround in some situations.

Would love some more feedback from anyone else willing to test.

Can confirm, was able to corroborate everything exactly as reported. Thank you for reporting this! I was able to confirm at least that picking up the plot and dropping or placing in a new position does allow it to correctly update position, this could be used for the moment as a temporary method.

Great report & info @b0x @bullyrook

As I've played on longer tonight, I noticed that in at least some cases if you do nothing and just wait, the plot corrects itself: The sensor moves to the box. But shnizz has been kinda of all over the place. Inconsistency will drive you mad.

I want to add that I have built up a few city plans that are impacted by this bug. I would fast travel to these cities, and certain plots (interior) were just empty. I would refresh them, and nothing. No asam sensor, no models, not nothing. After some further running around, I found their asam/models etc in a totally different spot in the settlement, randomly overlapping other stuff.

To add to what bully said in the previous post, I have had zero success with this working properly. My sensors never move back to the box. I have taken to just doing fine adjustments on the foundations, then placing the plot. It can get pretty frustrating trying to get an interior plot to snap into place though.

Same on xbox, using PA to fine tune position, Asam sensor stays in original place, and items spawn at original placement. Is there a way to delay the building script in the holotape?

Delay building materials under Usability, maybe?
Not sure if it does as I've never used it.
But the plot is going to build to where you first placed it, with or without a delay.

This may be a little late because I've only just updated but I found this helps:

Turn off SNAP in Place anywhere while in workshop mode. Hotkey for me is F3 (but I don't think that is the default, check the ini)
Select the plot, choose rebuild, don't move an inch, then replace the plot. If it was already where you wanted it you're good. May be a pain if the plot has moved already, those I haven't experienced the base moving myself.

This works best for those internals because yeah, they are bananas when there are a dozen snap points surrounding your plot.
