In one of his podcasts a while ago, kinggath brought up the idea, that some perks should have been implemented into FO4, which would let you level out of the (frequent) need for food water ( maybe even sleep).
My suggestion is to introduce some high tier plots into SS2 which other than being part of the settlements economy system, produce consumables, that have some form of benefit over vanilla alternatives Let's say a drink from a brewery or a water purification facility that hydrates you for longer, or some snacks that allow you to eat less often from a level 3 agricultural plot.
This should be difficult to achieve (industrial revolution style ridiculous ) but have some benefits that tie the mod further with the (survival) gameplay.
