[PC] Communications Station does not show in Resource build list at Mechanist's Lair

Greetings Salvage Logistics Specialists!

I've noticed that I am unable to craft the Communications Station at my desired location (one of the Player Housing "settlements") the Mechanist's Lair. This is after finishing up the storyline quests, and allowing the mechanist to live.

I can build the robots and assign them to Supply Lines to other true Settlements without issue.
Is it by design that you cannot get your beacons to deliver shipments directly to Player Housing locations?
I want to keep all my guns and ammo away from the grubby hands of Settlers, and the food/water/Junk counts low at Settlement locations to prevent capping generation of new resources.

List of Mods that may be relevant:
Sim Settlements w/ Slum Lord & Bad Neighbors
Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch
N.E.B.A.S. (#833448)
Automatron EyeBot Companions w/DLC addons
Everyone's Best Friend

Originally I had it set up so you could deliver to player housing, but then custom settlements weren't supported. So I had to make a tough choice. I could add support for certain player homes in the future, but it would complicate the interface for using the beacons, so I'm not sure I want to do that.

I don't believe anything should be stopping you from building a station in the Mechanist's Lair though. I specifically tested that a comm station could exist in all of the DLC settlements.

Are the "Player Home" locations actually considered full Settlements, though?
I see many other items are turned off in the Mechanist's Lair location, but available up the road in County Crossing.

My current workaround plan is to have the Comm stations at my 3 main hub settlements, then using some sort of "Access this chest remotely" mod to shove things into hyperspace for travel to the Mech's Lair.

If they aren't showing up in the list of deliverable locations, then they must not count as full settlements. Salvage Beacons uses the built-in settlement menu to show you options of where to send to.

Can you have settlers at the Mechanist's Lair? (It's been too long since I messed around with it)

I've only so far built robots that I then assign as a Supply Line to other settlements.
You cannot build a Radio Beacon to summon more settlers to Mech's Lair, so I guess you are not allowed to have settlers there? I've not tried moving a loose settler there yet.

That's probably why- I must have saw you couldn't build a beacon there so just disabled building the comm stations there. It's been so long since I made all these decisions, I can't remember my logic behind them!

In other news, When I actualy Activate a Salvage beacon by putting it into a container, The Mechanist's Lair does appear as a valid target for shipping the items.
But the Lair does NOT have a station built, and no robots nor people assigned as Salvaging.

It'll be interesting to see if the shipment makes it way back there.
Does the Salvage Beacon team spawn from the Settlement you choose as Destination, or from the nearest one with a COMM station?

They spawn from the nearest comm station settlement and can deliver it anywhere that shows up in the settlement menu.

That answers a question I've been having. I kept seeing a team sent from a location different than the destination but the goods still showed up at the right settlement. Gosh, those settlers really do get along! Maybe we can convince Congress to take a look how "cooperation" works in the virtual world LOL....not a chance
