Patch 2.1.8 - Last of the 2.Xs

"Delay Building Materials" doesn't seem to do anything for me. Or at least, it always displays "15 sec". Is this supposed to toggle anything, or should there be a submenu?

Edit: also slight misspelling: "sandwhich boards" in the Visual Options -> Mailboxes, Etc:

Yeah, Delay Building Materials should have 4 options - must not get used much by anyone, it's been in there for a long time and never been reported!

Thanks for the spellcheck - hate when I miss those!

Looks like the entire Usability submenu was mis-configured. Will be fixed for 3.0, if anyone desperately needs to change those options on PC I can tell you the console commands.

Patch 2.1.8 - Reorganizes and simplifies the holotape.
I like the rework.
Suggestion: the patch version number would be nice to see, either at the heading for each page or in the first screen text
Usability submenu you already know about.
Taxes help text. That the choices affects the tax level is pretty obvious .. would be much more interesting to know the effects tax levels has on the settlement, like lowered/raised happiness, recruitment, maintenance etc.

Another thought, is the settings exportable? Just thought it might be helpful if you could see what settings the players actually use.

Currently the taxes only affect caps - they have no affect on gameplay... yet.

Oh it's some kind of marxist dream world then. That was very interesting to know :)

Oh wow "Last of the 2.Xs"!

Maybe the expansion is coming soon, so exciting!

"Redesigned City Manager Holotape with an emphasis on making it both easy to navigate and clear in what each option does within the game. This was done to help new players as well as prepare for a host of new options that will be added with the upcoming expansion."
Wow sounds like we're in for a really nice Christmas present!

+ "Original Plot Sizes" cannot be disabled. I turned it on to see what it does and am now stuck with it.

edit: in case someone else does it:
set kgSIM_Settings_ShowOriginalPlots to 0
turns it back off

I noticed that too a while ago but forgot. I just always tried to make sure I didn't click it by accident and if I did I just loaded game again.

:D

I opened the SimSettlements.esm in the CK and looked up which variable is responsible, because I accidentally quicksaved after changing the setting...

Do'now if this should be here or at the Bug section.
Lately my building experience has been strange, plots stuck, ASAM sensors never appearing. I've tried waiting for scripts to complete, for more than 60 min at a settlement (game was not paused or in wait). I've tried to walkout of settlements. Fast travel back and forth. Same same.
So I downloaded Fallrim Tools and checked my active script count. Then I cross-checked against install dates for my mods. After I installed 2.1.8 the active mod count in my saves rose from 1-2 to 45-78.

A lot of them are simplot scripts. In my latest save I've got:
49 simsettlements:simplot

22 workshopnpcscript
1
homemakerinstallerscript
5 autobuilder:autobuildparentscript

@NikVilKok Can you expand ActiveScripts and post a screenshot in the bug reports? Tag me with an @kinggath when you do and I'll see if I can figure out what is. My gut is telling me you need to do a manual install and this is just an issue of an old script stuck in your save, but seeing that screenshot should help me confirm.
