Patch 2.0.1 - The Other Side is now live!

Hello! just started a new playthrough and I'm running into a weird bug that I personally haven't seen before so I'm not sure if it is new or not. Jake won't walk or run... other NPCs like old paul will but it's almost like jake doesn't have pathing. when he is joining me to satellite station Olivia he will only teleport with me along the route but once he loads he just stands where he appeared. went to the cashe right before you get there and he teleports to near the car ( not near where I know he has a bent-over animation to look for his stuff) and runs through his dialogue without moving. he pops his helmet on and I continue on to the station, he stops me to kill the raiders outside. I kill them and he doesn't move... this essentially continues on etc he won't move so he won't do his animations to unlock the computer/ door in the station so I'm stuck/kinda. I can still advance with the console or the holotype but the problem persists with him. any ideas when could be broken? or no of any mods that could mess with his pathing?
FallUI Inventory sorting screwed Jake up for me on every quest in this kind of way, do you have that installed?
 
I started a new run-through after 2.0.0m went live and found it was much more stable than my previous. I still hit a wall with "Hostile Takeover". The quest starts, but nothing happens. I receive the strange frequency message, and two quest objectives are on my pip-boy ("Listen to the Strange Frequency" and "Proceed to Sanctuary Hills"). When I go to the quest marker in SH, nothing happens and neither objective gets marked complete.

I had hoped that 2.0.1 would fix it. Please help, as this is the second time I have dumped hours into the game just to get blocked by this quest.
 
FallUI Inventory sorting screwed Jake up for me on every quest in this kind of way, do you have that installed?
I do have that installed, I managed to get him working again. By reinstalling ss2 and c2 and then doing a “recycleactor” command on him. He disappeared so I went to the cashe and he popped into existence naked. I did a force trade to re-equip his outfit scarf and holster and he seems fine now… love this mod so much and can’t wait to see what’s next!
 
I didn't notice any sideways ones... I need to get the View Details system added to those cells so folks can more easily report issues.
This was the door by the nuke pod right near the sewer entrance so basically if looking at the freedom museum it’s the left corner building across from the hardware shop. Hopefully that’s close enough to find. It may have been just on my end though so who knows.
 
Ah crud - I must have overwritten my config changes at some point.

Fixed and reuploading to Nexus now.
I downloaded the 2.0.1. when it was released yesterday, spend the day playing. I updated the fixed file today and for some reason now my game loads into the location I saved at. I have tried a couple of save files. Then about 10 seconds after everything loads, it ctd. I haven't update any other file since yesterday, except the new fix upload. Anyone else having this problem??


* i downloaded yesterdays patch and my game now restarts. Maybe mod manager wasn't updating the files correctly**

I updated on my Xbox today and for some reason all my walls around my settlements are gone and I can not build the generator that produces 100 energy. Also took all the ones I had away. I’m lot sure of it’s for the updates or what.

Did a new update that I had this morning for sim settlement 2 on top of the one i did last night. My generators came back so did the walls around my settlements. What is now miss is my light poles around my settlements it shows power to turrets with the power lines everywhere but does not show the lights connecting them. Just a bunch of free hanging wires all around. Also the workshop did not recognize my turrets I had which is like 560 defense and just had 29 defense them my game crashed.

Could you send me your save file so I can investigate? I've seen a lot of people report problems with this quest and the only after it regarding radio signals, and I've not been able to replicate.

Doh! I set them up with their own terminal entries, but forgot to put them in the actual record with the holotape. I'll probably hotfix this tonight.

Shame Bethesda made testing on Xbox nearly impossible - this slipped through the cracks because all of our testers are PC players and have MCM.
While you're at it, not sure if this is just me but all my hq HUD has been broken the entire time, showing just the standard settlement meters in the bottom left and nothing else. Would that be worth looking into? I can't play the thing, could be my One S or the fact that it's old and full of dust but it keeps freezing and dying. But I'm hopeful that anything I have to offer will help others and eventually make the mod perfect. Having a blast watching your stream!

If you get more issues like I did I recommend removing the Sorting part of it and using VIS-G instead, fixed all my problems.

Zoff, when Kinggath goes (I WantTOtellEverythingIn1Min)speedtalk I sometimes turn the speed down, else my brain goes buffer overflow. You can change the speed of the video clicking the small cogwheel in youtube, it does magic :- )
 
I posted on here earlier about some problems I am having since the update. I am unable to go to sanctuary my game now just crashes out. I tried walking and fast travel. Previously my generators were missing from workshop mode and in game vanilla generators.also my walls around my settlements were gone. Then this morning I got another small update on my Xbox for ss2. After that I could go to my settlement and build the generators and my walls(vanilla) were back but the light post (vanilla) I had all around were gone. Just wires free hanging. The turrets I have all around the walls were working but did not show up in my defense and were technically not hooked up since the generators were gone but all the wires weren’t now I can’t go to sanctuary.

Yes exactly it’s been a week or so since I played Fo4 so I was struggling with the surroundings but that’s the door for sure.

Usually something like that means you are missing a file, but I'm not sure how that would happen on Xbox. So more than likely you've got some sort of save file corruption in Sanctuary.

You can try the new tools I added to Workshop Framework to remote reset the location - it will destroy many things at Sanctuary, but should at least end the crashing so you're not locked out of the location. Craft yourself the Workshop Framework Controls at a chemistry workbench, then go to Diamond City and run the Tools > Remote Settlement Recovery.
 
I just got a weird bug. When after having rescued Jake from Gunners you at some point finally get Aidens broadcast. This of course needs to be taken to Jake. After having talked with him in the church(still not built btw and unable to talk to the priest) he finally starts going towards his workshop he goes through the door and then goes directly upstairs and starts to work on the armor station. He and the engineer lady are unresponsive all the time. I tried to go elsewhere and come back later but no change. Lady just stands around waiting and Jake acts like nothing plot related is happening completely unresponsive. Quest is still wating for Jake to go to the radio.

On another note Caleb is still unresponsive after having killed Bombface.

i had this on the 2.0.0k hotfix i think you have to get jake downstairs to get this working because he has to interact with the lady and the radio or whatever. think you will have to use the console to move him to you.
