Pastor Edmunds Issue

Hey, loving the mod so far! I believe I've only had one issue this playthrough.

Pastor Edmunds won't enter into conversation with me, he only gives idle dialogue when I click on him, and so I can't get his quest.

He's never worked for me either - doesn't even do the "intro scene" with Jake at the start of quest "Well Well Well" for me either. And the Concord Church never gets renovated - I assume those are linked.
As far as I know though, he doesn't actually offer a quest on his own?

I got the intro scene with him and Jake talking about how they moved the crate from Olivia, but the conversation kept repeating until I interrupted to speak with Jake.

The pastor then went back to the church and I've only been able to get him to say varying lines of "Praise the Lord!" since.

I had a quick scroll through Kinggath's playthroughs to see if anything should be different, as I assumed that the pastor would have more than just idle dialogue as I'd found a note on the church's noticeboard about him giving mass, and it looked as if you can enter conversation with him, so I'm missing that.

At the very least Kinggath's aware of it; I'm just hoping that I don't have to go back to an earlier save to get him speaking to me.

Same here

I think what's meant to happen is some amount of time (probably 3 ingame days?) after you first meet him, the church gets "renovated", and then the Pastor starts doing sermons at the time mentioned on that note on the board - at which point the other Concord resident NPCs sit in the newly built seats to listen etc.
As far as I know, this is just a "flavor" thing to help New Concord feel "alive", I've never seen anybody mention any quests related to it.

If the action is tied to the pastor's conversation triggering then that would make sense, as I haven't had any new residents to Concord outside of the two caravaneers (Branigan was his name I believe) showing up.

There's by my count four other sets of Named people that show up, they seem to be based on progression through Jake's Questline and not keyed to the Church itself (except for them putting notices on the bulletin board when they spawn).

I have tried several times to get there to hear a sermon... but it never happens (get there about 9 pm). Nothing. Stand around, move about the town, etc... Pop back in and nothing.

I got to see the conversation between Jake and Edmond for the first time today. Here is how it went...once i got the message from Jake to come see the hub, i fast travelled to the museum and waited a few seconds, paster came out of the church and went to Jake and started talking. I think i may have been to quick to talk to Jake and it would would end whatever script that was in play to have the Jake, Edmond conversation start. Maybe not the greatest moment in fallout history but glad i saw it. Nice to see something somebody took the time to make.

Oh well Edmund still giving me the cold shoulder and no sermon note on the board, just the caravaneers note.

i have been asking about this here and on the ss2 discord, for ages now i have not had a single answer i have even started a new game and still the same result. EDMUND dont talk. can go to brannigan and rescue but the sermons dont start. for me concord is completely broke the first quest wont even start all npcs are just tagged concord settlers. may as well skip concord

Not working for me either. As most people said, didn't have the convo between him and jake, and now I'm like 5 quests later and have only idle lines, and the church is not repaired...
I tried messing around with quest stages a bit, to no real avail. Jumping to stage 10 unlocks the cemetery (I was wondering why I didn't have it), but that's all. I reloaded to before messing around, since I'd prefer to wait for a fix and actually play the quest.

Same here, in my last playthrough concord managed to build itself some walls, but there were no people apart from idleling Edward. At least the nightingales on the streets talk to me now since the last patch.

I had the walls and the people. But no one said anything...
