Hi,
Sorry for the lame questions but I cannot find the holotape in concorde. I have been in the room and no tape or boxes. I am using NMM on a Win10 PC. The SS is shown as ver 4.2.9. I am lost as what to do now even after reading posts, watching vids, sorry.
I know it will be something wrong at my end but I don't know what.
Loot tells me Sim Settlements_XPAC-Rise of the commomwealth.esp ver 3.0.0 is obsolete ? I couldn't find an update.
Sorry it's a mess and I so wanted to use this excellent mod.
Any help appreciated.

Wow, you do have problems there. The XPAC ROTC is at version 4.2.0. The main SS should be version 4.2.9a.
NMM is no longer supported by Nexus, so unless you are using the community edition, your version may well be out of date!
I would suggest you try and download the 3-in1 version of SS. It includes ROTC and industrial revolution.
If you are having issue with NMM, try vortex. It is scary to start with, but you soon get used to it!

Thank you Robots Smell and Karvoc for your replies. Being early on a new playthrough I will try to sort out the problem and try Vortex. I am using the community version of NMM but will swap to Vortex. i will also use the 3 in 1 version as suggested.
Thank you for the suggestions.

I know it may be painful to move from NMM to Vortex.
however, it will be worth it - NMM has a lot of known issues that can cause problems.

There are a lot of reddit posts out there for switching from NMM to vortex (or to mod organizer 2, which is also really good, but some folks think it is a bit more complicated....to each their own).

The best method - is to wipe the game and reinstall. Make a screen shot of your mod list (or export it) so you have a list, but then, wipe out f4 completely. The reason? Because sometimes NMM does not un-install mods properly. Sure, it might work...but your time and game is not worth the risk later.

So, high level steps.

Get vortex (or mo2).
Remove all mods in nmm.
Uninstall NMM.
Wipe out data directory in F4
in steam reverify files (that will put the game back).
Then start downloading your mods in vortex.

Alternatively, wipe all of F4, and just reinstall.

There are tutorials on youtube for installing vortex (or again, MO2, which is amazing, but can be intimidating);
Look for the tutorials from gamerpoets.

best of luck to you, and it will be worth it when done.

Thank you pakman for your help. I have taken notice of all the advice and moved over to Vortex. As you point out there are a good number of guides/vids to guide me and I followed the one from Gamerpoets.
I have a list of my mods on NMM and uninstalled NMM, wiped the FO4 directory and started again with Vortex.
Thanks again for taking the time to help it's appreciated.
