More sources for ASAM boxes.

The concept of having your settlers build it on their own is greatly slowed by lack of ASAM boxes. Maybe have Trash Can Carla offer a box from time to time like concrete shipments? Or maybe more quests to find boxes of ASAMs once you open each settlement area?

The closest settlements are Bunker Hill, the Airport and the Mechanist's Lair (those are in no particular order and i make no guarantee that they're in range because I'm terrible at judging what the range of mark 1 beacons is)
Range is at least from Starlight to Beantown Brewery. It's the only time I've used one

A couple of points.

your playing ss2. Just one base SS2 lot by definition is cheating because it provides more resources per day than an entire settlement loaded with nothing but beds and salvage stations.

just carrying one salvage beacon in cheating because it gets you around the weight limits.

hell just spamming water pumps in sanctuary can be considered cheating because they did not expect you to become a literal water baron who can just casually let his entire settlement wear power armor And Gatlings.

Seriously useing almost any mod out there anyone accusing anyone of cheating at this point?

pointless. When they give you the ability to literaly spam water pumps, flood the market with canned water, and print ammo.

having an ASAM printer is useless once you get the plans because by then each settlement should have junk lots, a Vanila caravan network and a cm desk. Seriously Jake freakes out about the gunners and I went Bach to a desk and made a box of ASAMs and start setting up that sunshine tidings, that ex hippy commune next to that one Gunners outpost, Because I at the time I was tring To keep up with named settler spam.

I thought about it last week. This is one that could easily be completely unbalanced. Not that this has ever stopped addon creators before. I remember a few power plots that were insanely overpowered in SS1. So I am actually expecting someone to do it but personally with how I like to play, it would need to achieve a level of balance somehow for me to use it. After all if I wanted to just have something that makes ASAMs so easy to obtain it's like they are free, I'd just turn the settings to make them free.

But yeah, I would be shocked if we don't have someone making something like that before Christmas.
Immersive. The 3d printer they found that had the blueprints... maybe use it in a advanced industry plot. Jake hauling all the other stuff for the com hub, why not the 3d printer :)

They can make it in an immersive way, if I feel like it’s working against the balance that SS2 aims for I’m not gonna use it. No matter how well written it is as an excuse. I’m not saying nobody should do it, I’m not saying you shouldn’t use it, I’m just stating how I personally see it for myself.

Realistically, once you get the blueprints, you can simply make blocks of 20 untill you run out of mats. So you realy dont need an Adam printer

You can't use your Virtual Storage materials for that, though. And honestly it makes a kind of sense for the whole "ASAM Network" to be self-perpetuating or at least self-maintaining once it starts functioning fully (eg once the Comm Hub is 100% working, etc). I mean, we're led to believe RobCo had been working on these pre-war, presumably for exactly what Jake is trying to use them for...

ive Never noticed a problem getting mats Once I can start crafting them, but then every settlment I fave have at least one junk factory feeding the workbench, and all field harvested mats go to DIA.

basicaly between random merchants, chalkboi, and crafting them the only ime I’m short in two long running playthroughs is prior to blowing up the pillers of the community.( because Spoilers)

i have to agree that ASAM sensors are actually quite trivial in getting your hands on.
i am currently casually carrying around 200 of them but have nothing to build that i feel i need.
And they all come from general good traders and costed like peanuts, heck my own general store sometimes carry 12 of them in one go.
that's plots for 4-6 settlers

Junk vendors also occasionally sell chalk for 2 caps each, some book return machines have chalk as a prize, so do lunch boxes.
