MO2 and the CK, having issues with CK seeing plug ins

I can get CK to launch from in MO2 but it only sees the base game and DLC main files, it will not see all the plugins I have. I have tried launching it outside Mo2 and still get the same result. I have tried searching many times, the Mo2 Discord was no help as they are not there to help you create mods If anybody is familiar with this issue and can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it immensely. I have made other stuff but want to try my hand at making some plots, but I cant get the CK to see any of the plugins. Not sure if I am missing a step or what. I had to install everything on a new computer not too long ago and could only download the CK from Steam.

I use Vortex due to MO2's virtual file system creating extra work. :lazy (I'm lazy and want "it just works")

@VersusXV I think you use MO2, have any input?

I wish I knew about your quick start mod as many times as I have started over cause I screwed up or had conflicting mods that made me start over <.<

I use MO2 and I simply don't have the issue described here - I have always had my CK see all the plugins. Do you not have the plugins enabled? That's the only thing I can think of.

Yeah they are all enabled, I never had this issue either until I had to download it from steam.

I am not very familiar with Vortex, but I downloaded it and transferred over from Mo2 and I can see all the plug ins using Vortex. I just don't know vortex that well, but maybe what I have to do. Setting load order in vortex can be confusing for me, Mo2 drag and drop load order is much easier <.<

It might need to regenerate INIs, if previously used CK from Bethesda Launcher but switched to CK from Steam. Maybe there is no "SLocalMasterPath=Data\" or it's now handled by some different setting

Well I can play in Mo2 but since CK can see in the plugins in Vortex I will just use Vortex do make my stuff and updates.

That didnt work out too well either, even though CK sees the plugins launched for vortex, vortex to me is just not as user friendly as Mo2 and it really screwed up the game, had to verify files twice to fix everything. So back to square one, Mo2 is not seeing the plugins, only the Main game and DLC when launched from Mo2 :/

Is there a folder somewhere I can dump plugins in the main game files that wont affect gameplay or confuse Mo2?

Not that I can think of - this is really a tough problem you have and makes me scared of ever installing the CK from Steam. Have you tried downloading the CK fixes off Nexus? I know some people don't like that but maybe it will solve your problem?
Just trying last ditch efforts here.

Yeah makes the interface look pretty but still cant see the plugins :/ Unfortunately the CK is able to be downloaded from bethesda any more.

Sorry - I wish I had more ideas. The .ini seemed like the obvious answer. There must be some way - I'm sure folks have installed it through Steam and have dealt with it but nobody has posted much information about it online.

I was able to get SS2, Extended and Chapter 2 loaded in Vortex. Mo2 Sees them, but has them as not handled. They are above what is handled by Mo2 and show as redundant, and I have played for several hours and don't seem to have any negative effects. Now, launching from both Mo2 and vortex (not at the same time ) the CK sees the plugins in both now only after installing the mods through Vortex.. I think what is happening with MO2 is that the CK is not getting directed at the virtual folder Mo2 puts everything in. I found a video about how to set it up in MO2, but for some reason it is defaulting to the main game files, not the virtual folder. I have no idea how to fix that. When I have looked for the virtual folder, I cant find it. I go to where it says it should be, and it isnt there.

Now...since I got it working (although not really how I wanted to, I am creating the mods through Vortex) I have another question on a goof up I did going through the tutorial.

The Add On Registration part.

I hadn't had my morning fill of coffee yet <.< and wasn't paying attention and did not duplicate SS2_SkinList_Industrial_2x2_AddonTemplate, so the original has the Tutorial_BuildingSkin_BuildingMaterials01_Gold as seen in the picture. I cant seem to find a way to remove it out of there and move on and make my duplicate. Is there a way to remove what is highlighted?

I had a thought... (be afraid)
What is the path to your FO4 installation? Do you have it in a windows protected folder? i.e. Program Files The UAC / windows "protection" may be causing this.
Is there a way to remove what is highlighted?
The easiest way is to open the plugin with xEdit and delete the override.

Use the patch https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/51165?tab=files&file_id=238684.

According to some things I read from the author MO2 wont do well with that patch. MO2 puts everything in a separate, virtual folder. The problem is going by the video I found on installing CK and using from MO2 its not "seeing" any plugin in the virtual folder, it only sees the base game and DLC's. It works like it is supposed to with Vortex, for me though Vortex is not very user friendly when setting up mods and load order and I don't like using it.

Been using the patched version for a bit now. No issues. It seems the Steam version of CK has trouble to see the mods installed on MO2, even if you run it from MO2. The patch converts CK to Bethesda version.

I will give it a shot.
