Missing Museum Item Fix

If you downloaded 2.0.4 and the starting items are missing from the museum or other locations, you'll need to do the following:

Again ONLY if you started a new game with 2.0.4 OR you haven't built any Sim Settlements plots yet in this save:

1. Disable the mod, then load and save your game without it - this will erase the mod from your save.
2. Download the latest version (2.0.4a), then enable it and load the save you just created.

There was a bug in 2.0.4 that despawned all of the starting items and the only way to get them to spawn again is to load the mod clean, which those steps will do.

Apologies for the inconvenience. One of the fixes I implemented to reduce left behind items, was incorrectly applied to those objects as well.

Just a heads up - gettting a LOOT warning due to the mismatch of the two plugins - Sim Settlements & Industrial - 2.04alpha & 2.04 - nothing to worry about but may confuse / worry some people

I've tried doing this but none of the items at the museum spawn for me. ASAM does show up in the console, but I don't get the notification that SS is loaded into the game nor does the SS icon appear in the workshop menu.

@Benjango D. Trainsaw If you happened to grab the update I pushed out last night, before 1 AM CST- you'll want to uninstall, save without the mod, then reinstall and return to the museum.

@Gumi That usually means the game removed it from your load order. Go to the Mods screen in game and hit Load Order, then make sure Sim Settlements is checked in.

Unfortunately, it is still not working for me. Even with version 2.1.1a.

It is showing up in the load order in the in-game mod screen but the terminal, holotape and other stuff are not there.

What I am experiencing is basically exactly the same as Trainsaw.

I have also done a clean save for both NMM and Manual installs.

It is weird because I got it working earlier today but I needed to start a new game and it hasn't been working since.

After updating have you tried disabling SS, then going outside of the museum and save your game, after saving, go back and re-enable it and load back into the newest save. If that doesn't fix it, I would try to do a manual install of SS.

@SUN

EDIT: L2K_Perma beat me to it.

After you've tried that, if it still doesn't work, try the Optional file I added which two others said did work (it's the exact same file, so I have no idea why it would work and not the main one...)

Huzzah, the disabling inside the museum, leaving and saving, then going back in worked (the NNM main file install). I was only disabling and saving either inside or outside.

Thank you both for your patience with me.

I've been a huge fan of this mod, until recently. After Rise of the Commonwealth I decided to start a new game. Through various installing and uninstalling the mod, the terminal and boxes etc. are simply not showing up. All the files seem to be where they should be. I'm not using any mods that touch the museum other than this one.

Having the EXACT same issues. I'm using ver 3.2.4. So far I have tried using NMM, manual installation, and Bethesda's in-game mod installer. I've tried both the 3-in-1 and the standalone base versions. I've tried disabling sim settlements, creating a clean save, and re-enabling them. I've even tried EXISTING the museum, creating a clean save, re-enabling, and coming back in.

Nothing I do is making the freaking museum items spawn, and it's driving me bat-shit. Please help!

Beforehand: I am very sorry to revive this thread.

@VanashePanda
I hope you read this:

I got the items to spawn simply by disabling the mod, saving inside the Museum, exiting and enabling the mod.

They didn't show up for me as well but after some tinkering with NMM disabling Remove Interior Fog - All DLC & Insignificant Object Remover the terminal as well as all the other stuff spawned.

However:

After I started the mod using the Holotape and saving, exiting, enabling RIF & IOR and restarting, the terminal vanished yet again. The mod was active (FO4s modlist & MCM show it), I could build the plots and other stuff, but the gameplay of SS didn't work. That is another problem & post.
