Jamaica Plain Bugs for RotC

I've never had "Fallout 4 has stopped working" crashes before. Jamaca plains RoTC default city has changed that though and get them a lot when in the city. Any ideas?

most likely overload on your system, probably texture loads causing your video card to give up and barf.

Have you tried the latest version of SS, KG is making some pretty serious improvements to the underlying code with a goal to eliminate all crashes. The downside is that this makes everything slower.

Thanks tank, It appears I forgot to update RotC when I kept updating SS. There still is a noticeable freeze that lasts a second or 2 when crossing the boundaries of Jamaica Plains that doesn't happen anywhere else, but the crashing is gone. It appears also the update warning system in Nexus Mod Manager isn't 100%

Very strongly recommend letting the most recent version process in each RotC settlement so it repairs any of the weirdness that came before. One of KG's recent threads regarding the root cause of the crashes explains it all.

I have latest version but very time i try to import the city plan i get ctd very time is first settlement i have problems
Any idee?

Jamaica Plains is VERY poly and texture heavy. On a lower end graphics card I recommend turning the details down in the SS holotape to a minimum.

Play white over 200 mods, merge some pl ugins to have more room nog its not a NASA pc but i tink i play on a middel pc do get ctk now and then but now i can even lay the grond foundation of the city plan wil set evryting low and wil test some more wil replay back

I don't know if this is a "bug" per se but at least in level 1 I have only a 5 out of 10 on the happiness report for covered beds. That's with me adding internal residential plots in some rebuilt houses too. Is this expected based on the shack roofs over the plots? I did the local data rebuild but that didn't matter. I'm having to build recreational plots to get the plots to upgrade because happiness with the default plan is pretty low.

It's a problem with the game engine - the roof detection is terrible. Some of what is clearly shelter visually doesn't end up counting. :(

Well darn. Thanks for the info. I'll give them more whiskey. :-p

Minor bug with the beta optimized version -- I had my settlers use the industrial plot on the front left of the upper area (up the stairs from the "main house", facing the church) as a Logistics station. Later development put a fence in front of that plot, which makes it almost impossible to get to the logistics station....

Is the Logisitcs station part of the designers choice? I don't use it, so just wondering.

No, I selected it manually when I got the notice that a settler started building an industry, because I usually want the settlements to setup the supply lines asap/

Gotcha!
So it's a self inflicted "oops can't put that there", rather than a bug.
The addon packs work very well the City Plans, as long as you're very familiar with how the addon plots are laid out and know which plot will work where.
Personally, I set the option to Designers Choice to prevent any addon plots from spawning where they shouldn't. Which in most cases works pretty well.

Yea, I guess that's true, though that location wasn't a problem with the original JP city plan, only with the new streamlined one. I'll have to check out the "Designers Choice" option -- don't think I've ever used that, because I want to be sure every settlement gets a logistics station, at least when it hits level 1 (I tend to make low-charisma characters :) )

Not sure where else to put this but I've literally spent all day (9am to 12 am) trying to get Jamaica Plains RoTC to work to no avail. Every other RoTC settlement seems to work (with minor annoyances but that's another issue) yet JP just won't build. I did notice the build limit was capped so of course I did the weapons drop exploit to increase it BEFORE starting the process for RoTC building and yet still it sticks at the beginning phase and refuse to move forward. The leader (have tried with 3 leaders so far) will start building their house and the initial single settler well start a house and farm yet get stuck in a never ending loop of build (mind you I have my PC connected to surround sound system so you can imagine how annoyed I eventually got hearing the constant hammering XD). Mind you this is a fresh start using minor mods that have not interfered with any other build so far. If anyone else has ran into this issue and found a fix please let me know. I'd like to play my new playthrough on survival from JP if possible without having to just ignore RoTC. :(

I changed to the combined SimSettlements\ROC\Industrial on xbox1 and encountered a bug i may have not seen prior but the Jamaica Plains plans do not show up. It gives me Sommerville. And the city plan manager says manange Sommerville Place. I had already set the settlement prior to changing to the combined version so I don't recall if it was like that before or not.

So the burnt out car near the bus keeps inuring dogs near it that spawn.
Pathing is slightly borked when you get a settlement attack. They spawn inside the workshop room.

does this location have any city plans? the wiki says it does but when i go to select one it says there are none.
