i found the schematics but when i click on it wont do anything any idea i drag the holetape to Jake but then i click on it still wont do anything i am on PC

I guess this is further into the questline whey you are inside that building to get teh comhub ? where the red schematic book is and the holotape in the safe ? other wise if it is the beginning of SS2 .. build a radio beacon and Jake will popup at your doorstep.

You don't need to move the holotape, when you try to 'use' it yourself your character should call out to Jake and he will come over. (you might have to tell your companions to wait outside that room so Jake can get through)

I just ran into this yesterday, actually. You have to do the steps of that particular mini-quest in the correct order. The holotape will not react correctly until you've done all the steps that are supposed to be accomplished before it. Picking up the blueprints, pressing the button on the ASAM printer, etc. It was aggravating as hell until I figured that one out. I believe the holotape is the last thing you need to find.
Off the top of my head, here are the various things that need done. The order might be wrong, however:

1 - Turn on power for the comm hub, then press the button on said comm hub
2 - Press the button on the ASAM printer. Get schematics
3 - Give Jake the blueprints
4 - Activate the holotape, which calls Jake over to take a look at it

I just ran into this yesterday, actually. You have to do the steps of that particular mini-quest in the correct order. The holotape will not react correctly until you've done all the steps that are supposed to be accomplished before it.

The order I usually do it (going by your numbered items there) is 2, 4, 1, 3 - and I've never had any of the problems people have described with this quest.

I have completed this quest by doing the objectives in every order possible. The order does not matter.

That said, once you turn on the power and hit the big red button on the "Com Hub," you are unable to do the other objectives until you complete the "Com Hub" scene with Jake and hand him the schematics.
