Used my first beacon ever, then placed a second one before the first was picked up. Second one was picked up and returned just fine, but the first one has sat there well over 72 hours. I just took the items out myself but the beacons stuck there doing nothing.

Will it eventually poof? Thanks!
 
After the max timer of 72 hours, if it doesn't get delivered, the beacon must have become stuck. Dropping it on the ground should reset it, though you might not be able to loot it at all from the container.

I haven't figured out why this happens for some players yet, I just know that dropping the beacon resets the script.

It's stuck, when I attempt to pick it up it disappears and gives me the will be put in the workbench when delivered message, but just shows back up in the container when I reopen it.

That means the script is still running, so it will probably be delivered eventually.

Four salvagers of five who have been ordered to salvage, seems to prefer playing on the Ledger terminal in the house near the Sanctuary bridge.
Maybe they have found there - in that dealer house - a stock of jets I did not loot.

While they may stand there - sometime none of them are there, sometime two of them, sometimes three, sometimes four - two brahmin pack of their, stay on the main road, stand or couched, but they don't go anywhere.

Now I will try to explain all the events which may cause that problematic situation.
First, I have assigned Codsworth on the radio table without knowing a chair may appear.
Seeing my two first salvage beacon did not work, I discovered he did not take his assignment, no chair. Maybe because he is levitating and cannot use chair ?
So, I have assigned a settler which took his post and his job seriously, a time at least, the third salvage beacon worked.
Yet, two more beacons were used without success.

The four salvage beacons are still shown on Map when I select the Quest option to show them.
It's well being a week in real time, so I doubt they will succeed one day.
Now, I don't know if they are on the road or "coming back", but the two brahmin pack seems to look toward the bridge, so toward the exit of Sanctuary.

Yesterday, I tried to convince the four playing salvagers to go back at work. Not a bright idea to use the gun, I admit, but for weeks in game, they did not work and consume our community food.
I discovered why they fear no encounters ;)

Another try was to send them away with "modpos console", really away...
After a while, and a few broken legs from the fall, they're finally coming near their brahmin, or near the terminal...

Even if I scrap the Ledger terminal, or seats in that house, even if I organize a "brahmin hunt in town" with Dogmeat and all the settlers, even their two brahmins dead, they remains in the surroundings of that area...

I don't really know if my settlements construction may affect their tries to access the workbench, you were talking of special paths around in your video ?
Today, I don't really want to try to use it in another settlements and would prefer the non-immersive fast travel to avoid my stuff being stuck as actually.
What I discovered, anyway, when I am in Workshop mode, there's an invisible NPC SIT ON GROUND on the garage floor near the Sanctuary workbench, but no way to get a console id for it... Does the salvager work alone or grouped ?

I was thinking about desactivating your mod before reinstalling, but we can't get back placed salvage beacon (even by console ???) and am afraid it may affect the game containers even after the necessity to get back all the stored stuffs...

Advices are welcome.


ADDON/ Resoluted to get back my stuffs, I found another team of salvagers stuck in Lonely Chapel, they stay there like praying. Maybe they are waiting for their brahmin loses enough weight to pass the door entrance...

ADDON2/ Really asking myself if that invisible but residual NPC SIT ON GROUND is not the problem. I tried to uninstall the mod, but forgot to unassign the comm operator. Even if I affect him to another task, which he do without problem, I obtained a new invisible but residual NPC STAND AND HAMMER at the place he was.

has the salvage beacons been intergrated into SS as im sure i was given as set of opptions for it one one of the plots but for the life of me icant remember which plot line its in

I have the same thing. It's been like this for a long, long time.
