Is there any way to scrap your ASAM sensor to restart a settlement?

Long story short, I've built a whole bunch of indoor plots rather than outdoor ones and I'm regreting it. Is there a way to let me start over? I have spend so much ASAM sensors I practically cannot destroy the plot and build with new sensors!

Just to check what you are actually asking here:
1. Do you want to scrap everything that you have placed/built within the whole settlement;
2. Do you want to scrap just the SS2 plots and nothing else; or
3. Do you want to know if you will recover (get back) the ASAM sensors after you have scrapped the plots?

I want to scrap/destroy the SS2 plots and recover the ASAM sensors. I tried highlighting the SS2 pot and press scrap but nothing happened.

In the ASAM sensor I activated it and choose Advanced > Destroy Plot, and the plot is gone, but I don't get the ASAP sensor back.

Would love to know how to scrap the SS2 plots and get the sensor back.

I tried to scrap the plot but the game doesn't allow me, is there a specific part of the plot I should be highlighting in order to scrap it?
I always make sure I have the vertical "arrowhead" which determines the orientation of the plot in my view. That's when I scrap it if I need to. I hope that helps.

I also never knew this was possible until some of the fine people in this forum mentioned it

It only makes sense to remove the same object you placed. The game engine isn't smart enough to know its all one object.
