Interior plot position

Hello everyone!
I apologize in advance, if this question has already been answered. I tried searching the forum using keywords, but couldn't find what I need.
I am trying to use the interior spaces in remaining Sanctuary buildings as spots for residential plots. However, since the buildings are quite small it's no easy task to correctly position the interior plots inside buildings. Since there is no initial snapping (at least to my knowledge, yes I am new to the mod and don't have previous experience with SS 1), I have to somehow manually position the plots inside the buildings. I also can't seem to zoom out or in on the plot or make it so it is closer to my character when placing it. This all results in very misaligned plots and countless tries to position them correctly.
Is there any way this can be worked around? Perhaps I don't know something or there are mods that are compatible with SS 2 and address the issue?
Thanks in advance for your understanding and help!

If you want to have complete freedom to build how you want then you need to get this https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/9424, which means you will need to get F4SE.
Installing F4SE is easy just follow

Hope these two mods help you in all your building endeavours.
Also, they both work with SS2 I have been using them to build some wonderful raider settlements.

With respect to the cannot zoom issue, move outside, get the proper distance, and walk back inside. Have this issue w/ the big building at Sunshine Tidings all the time.

I have F4SE installed. The issue is not me being unable to build anywhere I want, it's the problem with the zooming when I select the plot type. When you select a plot type, say, residential, then it is positioned at a certain distance from your character and you can't (at least I can't) zoom out to the proverbial bird's view to position the plot inside the building neatly. Or even on the ground.
So I guess a better phrased question would be: is there a top view when placing plots? I found a video demonstrating it:

I haven't used SS2 yet but I have used SS1 extensively and getting the interior plots into the Sanctuary house is a real pain but it can be done. Sometimes you have to fiddle with them a LOT before they will fit.

With build anywhere there is are options to not clip with the floor you can then get around the issues you are having and move the internal plots as you like, you can also turn off snapping, move items on different angles etc. It does more then just allow you to build it gives you more control which is why I brough it up highly recommended.
