Institute ally bug

This is a bug with the miscellaneous quest: Recruit your allies for the attack on the gunners. I chose the institute ending, I managed to get Preston's help and the police guys' help but when I talk to X6-88 for what I believe the institute help he acts as if I'm recruiting him. Even if I do recruit him and talk to him as a companion he talks normally. I don't think he's recognised as a quest NPC.

I'm at the same point you are. I have a way point for the institute on the beach between Libertalia, and Nordhagen beach, but no one to talk to there.

Any help would be great.
