I am just doing experiements in different save files, and I am guessing this is the BEST by far!!! I was on the other side decided the check out the commercial area plots.. BAM this what happen!! I can't stop laughing!! I am not even finished this section yet! ROFL You wastlanders can caption this!20201124165710_1.jpg

Yeah, when you have a lack of places for settlers to idle they tend to all zerg one spot. I put a indoor recreation plot inside the house at Greentop Nursery one game, worst idea ever. I could not even leave the house.
OMG I can visualize this hahahahaha

Actually, I am happy your so happy and having fun. :friends
I love it when they do stuff like this. :happy
Oddly, once they all zero in on a plot like that even when I add more only a few settlers will disperse.
Which is fine with me..
Find a place you like and stick with it. :drinks

The only worse thing I ever did was I decided one game that it would be smart to make ALL my supply lines be sentry bots based in the Mechanist Lair.

Then I slept there one night (because I play survival) and I could not even get out of the elevators because there was so many sentry bots and brahmin clogging the garage.

Yeah, I am very aware of this effect in my city plans and because of this effect, I make a few places for settlers/raider/etc to chill out after and before the day.
Place down some lounges with the gym equipment and watch them start to move over to it. it is funny using a pummel horse to lead around settlers.

I use the mod that turns player-provisioner Pack Brahmin into Eyebots for this exact reason. Works fine, except that now the SS2 2X2 Caravan plot shows an eyebot hovering there in what i guess was meant to be a brahmin stall, which is no big deal.

I like to use the the mod that turns the pack-brahmin into pack-dogs. I always felt that fallout had way too many functional robots wandering around and that the dogs were more lore friendly.

Dogs work too. I just always do Automatron on every character now anyway, so I can "RP" that it was me making those things anyway.

So here is an odd question (more for Bethesda than anyone else). How is it that wastelanders are smart enough to make robots, but not smart enough make a car run? Cars are far simpler than robots.

Cars are pretty easy to get running, theres enough cars around Boston alone to salvage for parts for one each, but I see it more as an infrastructure issue. Not the cars themselves, but like... the roads are in awful condition and littered with junk. And 99% of people have no reason to travel more than a days walk from home anyway.
There was an optional questline in fo2 to get one for yourself and your party, but that was in the isometric "travel on the world map" era.

Never had the opportunity to play FO1 or FO2. Tried downloading a copy on my current computer and never could get it to work. And its not like I have a fancy rig. I am using min specs with for FO4 with win 7 so i can still run FO3/NV.

I would think having a truck or at least a brahmin pulled wagon would make scavenging much easier and profitable. I really newed to stop playing so much and learn some modding skills so I can make some of my ideas into real mods.

Word of warning about the adv. minefield plot.... any randoms who decide to just casually waltz thru the minefield get blown to bits. The Cambridge Polymer Labs eyebot bit the dust... didn't mind that. :declare I was a bit sad though when Fred O'Connell's lost his legs.
