HQ 2.0: How To HQ - Can't start projects.

I've started How To H.Q using the newest versions of SS2, as I was waiting for those to come out before I ran the HQ. However after going through the first dialogues and told to start the cleaning project I have no options regarding projects whatsoever, as it can be seen in the sreenshot. Feels like I'm stuck on this stage of the quest.

FYI, I tried re-loading a previous save just after I talked to Mansfield to work on the HQ, and the problem persists.

When I try to start projects in my brand new HQ I get "No options were sent to be selected from." for the first cleaning project. It also eats the energy when it 'fails'. Very frustrating.
 
I hope someone is able to come up with a solution for this issue, I assumed it a was a mod conflict so tried deactivating every single mod in my load order except for Workshop Framework, SS2 and SS2 chapter 2. No dice.
 
I'm having the same problem. When I finish talking to the group right after Mansfield arrives at the HQ, the How To HQ quest starts, but I can't start my first cleaning project. No options appear in the command menu for any type of projects.
 
I reinstalled chapter 2 of SS2 and managed to get that save file to start the projects. But Ive already moved on to a new character. Slick just isnt as endearing as Darlin.

When you mean reinstalled, you mean just reinstalling through vortex? Or did you do any more steps?
 
I redownloaded a fresh version of Chapter 2 wi vortex, deleted the old one, and enabled the new one. Not sure why that made it start working but it seems to be at the moment.
 
Interesting, did it start working again instantly, so not working, reinstall, reload to exact same point and working now. Or did you have to reload to a previous point before the actual HQ tutorial section started?
 
I parked that playthrough and started a new one when I couldnt get the HQ system to work. I reinstalled loaded the last save for that character - headed to HQ. Tried the mission and the tutorial/mission worked like normal. I havent played around with it past that point but I could test it more if you have ideas. :)
 
I guess what I'm trying to ask was were you already mid mission on the reload, or was the load before the mission started. I can only go back as far as right after Jake calls my pipboy after I exited the vault, it might be too late if what's not loading in was only initiated at mission start. But I'll give it a shot and see what happens.

I might also try just loading in a new game, and then loading the save, that may have had an effect too
 
I tried re-downloading and reinstalling SS2 and SS2 Chapter 2. I loaded up a save after I eliminated enemies from the HQ building, but hadn't started the Moving Day quest yet. I have waited over 24 hours for Jake's Personal Signal to come on the radio... but it never did! Nor did I ever get the quest Moving Day to start. Any ideas?

UPDATE 1: I went into my radio list and scrolled down to the grayed-out inactive radio stations, and found Jake's Private Frequency. I tried clicking on it even though it was grayed out, and surprisingly, clicking on the radio station activated the Moving Day quest. But for some reason, Jake wasn't in the building - he was up near Greentech Genetics. Aiden and Theresa were missing too... only Lupe was in the atrium.

UPDATE 2: after waiting for 24 hours, Jake and the gang finally showed up and I was able to continue. I started Moving Day and just like before, I headed to get Mansfield. When I showed back up at the HQ to complete Moving Day and completed the dialogue scene, I received the How to HQ quest, went into Command Mode, and I still couldn't select any projects. The only options I have are View HQ Layout and View Active Projects. I still don't have a tab for Projects to even start Cleaning rooms.

@kinggath, sorry to tag you. But I think this may be a bug. I love the mod. How can I help troubleshoot?

I was at the point where you get to assign your first task to clean the building but the mission wouldnt trigger right. Reinstalling it let me start the mission and complete it normally.
@William Wallace Did you try using the city holotape to force the next quest to start? Im not sure which option would work best - give them both a try and see if things magicly realize what they should be doing :)

Tried reinstalling just like you did, no dice. I also tried using the holotape to do both of the quest fixes, and tried advancing to the next quest. Still no luck.
 
No luck from me either, I even tried starting a new game and then reloading the broken save to see if the would jog something. It seems like this will be another dead fallout 4 game for me, which is a real bummer because the last save that died was also because I had a quest break from this mod back before chapter 2. I figured with chapter 2 would be a good time to jump back in.
 
Not sure what is happening for you folks, with not being able to access options in the HQ Command Mode.
Could you please post your plugins Load Order? Unfortunately, it's pretty difficult to figure out what might be wrong from the details provided.
I did go back and restart How to HQ with the new release, and didn't run into the issues reported.

It should be noted, that there was also an update to "Workshop Framework" for new HQ Release. So if you haven't updated that also, that would be a good place to start.

And I did indeed grab the Workshop Framework update before trying any of this. I also tried the solution mentioned in another thread (grabbing the SS2 mods and changing their file extension from .7z to .zip), and no luck there either.

I also am having some other bugs with the HQ. There are no Panels next to every room. Whenever I do the View HQ Layout option, it brings up room selection, and when I close out of that list it adds every room to my inventory (I assume this isn't intentional).

Also just for note, I have loaded the save with every single mod here disabled, and the HQ options still do not show up other than the view active projects, and the view zones options.
