Hotfix 2.3.2a - VERY IMPORTANT - Rollback your saves!

So I went back to a save from before laying siege on the HQ and taking it over. I then recruited Mansfield. Get back to the HQ and get the How To HQ quest to clean a room - open up my build-mode and there's no option to have facilities clean a room... Just HQ to view active projects and the building map.

No idea what's caused it to bug out but it's still broken (I don't have much in mods, mostly add-ons for SS2) :/

Any chance you could drop a save file somewhere and send a link? I assume it wouldn't be a big deal if it's only addons. It's one of those bugs that are really hard to get rid of.

I think that'll work :)

I ended up starting a new game - almost 20 hours in and Jake wasn't showing up to Sanctuary (I got side tracked playing story and side quests)... so I deleted every single mod and reloaded only the FO4 Unofficial Patch, SS2, SS2 CH2.
Outside of the SS2 "addon" mods I only had a bridge fix, infinite companion ammo and an achievement enabler so I'm not sure if any of that broke SS2 or if SS2 itself just became so corrupted I had to delete and reinstall.. but I think I've got things going again. Though it's going to be weeks before I'm back moving into the HQ I suppose, I don't have the patience in me to spend hours on end playing FO4 at the moment :P

Problem I am having is Anton is not appearing at the Third rail, I was able to recruit the family and complete that part, they living happily at Abernathy, and the part with the super mutants for the ay sam blinkies, but Anton is no where to be found...the quest marker doesn't even appear on the map in Good Neighbor and Jake seems to be stuck, He just wanders around the hardware store. I finished the New Plots on the Block and it wont advance any further and its been several in game days time passed, ran around doing other stuff. Also...Laying Foundations completed, got the XP and everything, but in the quest log where it shows completed quest it still has a square next too it as if you are tracking an uncompleted quest. I have the most current version of SS2 and SS2 Chapter 2, and this save game was started about 4 days ago from scratch. The cheat to complete the next main story line quest wont work as it hasn't advanced to the next part. Tried it, nothing happens.

I ran an experiment this morning. New Plots on the Block yesterday I had had him come to Sanctuary to show me the new pot types as I wanted to hear the jingles, never heard them before for those plot types. At the end, he asks "I wonder if we can establish communications with them" and he tells you to come by the hardware store when you have the time. So I did the following game day and nothing, the next quest wont trigger.

So today I loaded a save before I turned it in, and this time I did not want his help. Then he asks "I wonder if we can establish communications with them" and the next quest doesn't trigger. You try to talk to him and he just says his normal random things when you are in between quest or haven't completed an objective yet you are already on.
 
I found out XDI and the SS2 Compatibility patch was causing the issue with Where There is Smoke not triggering, I disabled these and it worked, I will edit this post if it fixed the Anton issue too.
 
Disabling XDI did NOT resolve the issue with Anton, I tried to player.placeatme and he appeared, but will not talk, there is still no quest marker but the quest still shows under miscellaneous.

Edit: I was able to get Grey Matters finished by starting it with console command Setstage SS2_Nika_MQ08b_GreyMatters 0

Cant wait for chapter 3 btw chapter 1 (ik chapter 2 has this) does the clinic plan for commercial plot do the same thing the hospital plan does for marticepile in chapter 2? (sorry about my spelling)

Their main functions are different (clinic is a shop and hospital cures settlers faster), but the clinics do improve the settler recovery rate by 20% (limited to the settlement, opposed to 50% in caravan range for hospitals).
 
If you hit the bug you would have hundreds of active scripts. The actual bug could trigger whenever any of the health mechanics triggered - which could happen when scanning with the Vitomatic, a settler tried to use a Disease Cure, or when a hospital attempted to cure someone.
If player begins an SS2c1+c2 game/playthru with Disease, decapitation, (all health, etc.) ALL set to OFF - will this circumvent this bug? Hope so came back a few days ago - played 3 full days - didn't see this bug until a few minutes ago . Arggg. Tried c2 again - hoping I might actually implement the HQ. Last time - I captured HQ, but could not implement the SS2c2 rebuiding. Very frustrating. LOL. Greaatly appreciate all you and your crew do. :acute

My understanding is that this was fixed with 2.3.2a. If your starting with that, you should not see this issue. I believe that this could only happen with 2.3.2. If you are using any other version, you should be fine.

Yes, running 2.3.2b - saw the caution note. Just being overly cautious with third attempt to actually finish c2. Really boring to replay (4th time) thru all the settlement building quests with stranger. Thx for reply.

You can skip most of the quests using the SS2 holotape. But as always, I'd suggest caution when skipping a lot at once - lots of scripts there that need time.
