Hotfix 2.3.1a and the path to Chapter 3

Not planning to get Starfield on Day 1. Haven't checked out anything about it. I have plenty of other games to play that I know I enjoy more. Feel free to take your time with Chapter 3.

If they were released the same day I'd probably try Starfield right away, and then back off until the release bugs were addressed. Then I could switch to chapter 3 with relief. :lol

After writing so much on a No Man's Sky novel - and it's big - I crave some space opera action. If Starfield happens to drop first, which isn't likely, Gunners Warz would have to wait. Besides, if they redo the Ch 3 plumbing as much as has been murmured, it might require a new playthrough. And Lord knows I've started enough of those the past few months.

now on War is Good for Business whiched started at same time as peace of mind
jake is stuck in the church and will not start dialog even after fast traveling out and back again
for that one, did you talk to Lupe first? I think you're meant to be able to talk to Jake either way but she points you to him.

Would like to ask and i know this is very earl to ask this but what are the future plans if any for more chapter in this brilliant mod?.

What we know:
  • Chapter 3 is in Development and Alpha Testing.
  • Chapter 3 is the final Chapter of the Sim Settlements 2 Story
  • There may be additional content released after that
  • ETA: The goal is to release before Starfield, hopefully a month before - - - - so... maybe........early August ?
  • What will happen before release? Beta Testing where more testers are recruited, then maybe a Public Beta Testing for any who want to test, then Release !

Ive run into a problem but havent yet installed Chapter 3 so I dont know where it belongs. I was trying to get everything setup for Chapter 3. My main goal to finish Commonwealth Rising but also forgot the CPD quests. Right about the time the radio tower finishes I start the CPD and after that almost every autosave locks my computer up completely. I am not running many mods except Sim2 and add-ons. Im gonna go back a few hours and retry finishing the radio tower without starting the CPD because the problem did seem to start with their quest but curious to hear from you guys if this is something avoidable or maybe even fixed in the Chapter 3 update.

try to sit in somewhere for some time as the scripts maybe backed up i usualy leave the game running and go do whatever for 30+mins
if that fails try
Get Resaver (linked above)
Use it to open the save file you want to inspect.
In the left pane, look for 'Active Scripts' and 'Suspended Stacks'
Active scripts should be 20 or less depending on the methods used by loaded mods.
Suspended Stacks should be 0. If not there is a good chance something is bombarding the Papyrus VM with more script calls than it can handle.

Thank you for the reply. I jumped back in and went right to the CPD and.... it all worked and I finished the whole story line for them. I took a break for lunch but should have time to get the radio tower upgraded later today. I suspect all the scripts running from the radio upgrade caused the problem so once I see it upgrade I will go hide somewhere and let the scripts try and catch up.
