Hotfix 2.0.0L

I'll hafta give it a look.. honestly, I just always went with the order xbox generated automatically until recently. Most times I've had zero issues. Hell, my Skyrim is loaded down with mods and it's never really been an issue.. a crash or glitch occasionally but not near as much as trying to get through this mod quest line with few mods lol
I was 68W.. early retirement from too many big booms.. I was attached to field artillery then route clearance OEF 11-12.. fun times.. not

I have the series x as well but for bathesda games I only play on pc so no help on that point. But as far as graphics and stuff it’s not far off on most games. Also I have the game pass so I try out games that otherwise I’d never buy or try if I had to pay for them. Yakuza like a dragon was a great game that I never even noticed it till I tried it there.

I think the work kinggath and crew are doing on the long save issue should make for some huge improvements overall in the mod so maybe console people will be able to push it harder soon.

I am definitely crossing my fingers for the long save issue.. I've crashed a couple times during a save and wanted to break stuff lol

Because I work with computers, I think I know part of the issue with Xbox.
Just a theory but a solid one IMO.
Computers can compensate for poor software design. Case in point, my servers can easily handle the work load of data processing no issue. We have issues with software limitations though. I can use buffer load software, add processors and RAM. Not the best solutions but some adjustments can be made. Some are even built into the OS.

Consoles on the other hand can not. As good as the new ones are, there is little you can do to consoles to up its work load ability. You can turn things down, like graphics, but you can not tune it up.

FO4 engine is not very good at handling large amounts of data for even just the core game. Example is CTD downtown Boston with no mods. So other then turning things down, consoles are pretty much hard coded. Windows, believe it or not, does its best to keep processes working. At least better then consoles.

I know there are people smarter than me here who could debate this all day. I am just speaking in general terms from my own experiences.

I have the same problem on my Series S to the point that I pulled my old Xbox One X out to use for this game. It stutters and the frame rate goes to pieces in the HQ, but I don't have all the settlement lockups I have on the Series S. I thought about using Workshop Framework to minimize the number of threads available to see if that would help with the crashing....I've also done things like use the "Cheat Terminal" mod to travel vs. normal fast travel....that helps sometimes, but also can cause problems if the script only completed if you left a particular building in the correct way. I also find (maybe) that if I clear my xbox cache more often the Series S fails less.....but it always fails...
One thing I've tried lately on the xbox series S is going into Workshop Framework and DROPPING the "max threads" setting from the default of 50 down to 10. The vanilla game rarely freezes anymore for me. What impact would that have on a new SS2 game?

Threads just determine how much the workshop can do at once so it will slow down city plans and stuff a bit buy otherwise nothing will be changed.

If you find any purple textures on xbox, a screenshot - even if it has to be a photo you snap with your phone would help a lot. We did a bulk file compression on them just before launch to ensure there was enough room on Xbox, and some of them clearly failed...

Not sure if you still want this, but I noticed a few glitches on the latest version (on xbox series x). No idea how to take and share screenshots on xbox, so I've taken pictures of the things that have stuck in my mind:

  • Windows of the medical lab (the blacked out side windows are fine). This is the only one I think is a significant issue as it's kind of in your face every time you travel to HQ
  • magazine in the hall outside Jake's room (improved)
  • magazine in Aiden's room (improved)

you might not be far enough in the story to have unlocked specific models? Think they don't unlock until after a few of the quest lines finish up.

Nah definitely not that, I used the holotape to unlock all of the plots. A funny thing though, now I have industrial and agricultural plots showing up in the Municipal menu.
