Tried reinstalling the mod with manual and NMM, checked the plugin in NMM and it is loaded. But as soon as I start the game and load previous save, and go to the museum on third floor (specific location on where the city manager holotape located) there is no holotape to be found, nor terminal or anything near the table and file cabinets. I tried adding the item using console command but once I type [help "city manager" 4] the game doesn't even recognize those item. So I thought the mod was not loaded properly.

Is there a solution for this? Already loaded and checked the mod on the plugins sections but can't seem to find the holotape.

That sounds like a previous version of SS2, but the SS2 City Holo-tape(now) is found in Concord where Jake first sets up shop(right across from the table near the ham radio. Or go into the MCM if you have it installed and select "Sim Settlements 2", to your right will be an option to give yourself the tape.

Thank you! I tried using MCM and load the tape instantly and it works. So somehow the mod worked but I still can't find the tape in the game world. Strange issues but everything else is fine.

And yes I'm using sim settlement 1 currently because it's my first time using this mod. Or should I just play with sim settlement 2 instead? Will I miss anything or is the current version stable?

Your very welcome! If I remember right, at first, it was in the Museum of Freedom in Concord, but then, I think, it was moved to another location in a later SS1 update- but don't quote me on that.

SS2 added Chapter 2 and made some changes overall to the scripting, data, and other systems involved to accommodate what they were trying to accomplish. SS2 has some excellent moments. Quite a few!, but tbh, like pretty much everything that's developed is still a 'work in progress' so there's going bugs that are going to happen. Some could be game breaking, others more of a nuisance. Some of the bugs exist without any additional mods, so seem to crop up with other mods

I believe the mod authors are going for a creative and 'ground breaking' use of in-game mechanics- and this in and of itself is quite a hurdle. It might be like looking at a Picasso for the first time and going, "ok I see it now. wait. no I don't. can you help me with this? ah! there it is!" kind of thing. As an idea is passed from thought to code it seems so simple... but from the end user's perspective(without all the pre-references of what, why, and how) it can be confusing. Also, imo, the hardest part of any creative project, whether programming or art of any kind, is being able to stop yourself from 'over doing it'. I've been there many times.
