Help with Vortex

Just hoping someone can help me with this question about updates on Vortex. I have only been using it for a couple of weeks and not sure what to do.
I updated a mod and now it has a drop down menu under the versions. When I click on it, it shows the old and new version numbers. My question is should I remove the old version?
Any help is appreciated.

You can delete it or leave it in case you need to revert. The only downside to keeping it is additional disk space usage.

Thank you so much for the response. I sort of thought that might be the case. But after breaking my game several times on Xbox because I didn't know anything and didn't ask, I am a little more cautious now. Disk space shouldn't be a problem, 4T on the hard drives and 6T on the SSD, so maybe I'll just keep them a while.
