Fort Independence - The Castle city plan

Don't forget to list the settlement expansion or any other used mod in the requirements section.
If you merged the mods into the City Plan at least let folks know that tid bit of info. ;)
Looks Good btw!

I made a few fixes and updated it. I also checked and the only mods REQUIRED should be Sim Settlements and Rise of the Commonwealth. It's available as both an esp and esl on the nexus. Now I just have to learn how to get it onto Bethesda.

Beth is easy compaired to nexus

this is wat I used

I am very new to SS and know sweet FA about how this stuff works. How would I go about adding this city plan to my choices for the castle? My installation is stock using SS/Industrial Evolution/Rise of the Commonwealth downloaded in game via bethsedanet.

I see there is talk about getting up loaded to bethsedanet, would it be as simple as just down loading it in game once its there as I did with SS? :help

yes once its on bethnet all you have to do is download like any other mod
and it should show up in the city planners desk :)

not sure when TimK will upload though

My plan is to hold off on Bethesda for a few days yet. I'm working on version 2.0 which will streamline some stuff as well as fix up the mistakes I made. Well, the ones I know of lol. But no worries, it IS coming to Bethesda soon.

I also had a bug reported on the nexus. Apparently the plan didn't show in the planners desk. Anyone from here have that problem?

Greetings

I don't suppose you might consider (comment deleted) a general clean up of the interior at all as part of this? Though the current Rotc plan is pretty cool I really didn't like the fact the walls at minimum weren't repaired, after all in line with the story it is supposed to be the minute man bastion. I personally think the fort being very militarized with barracks and such does fit in nicely with the town. History shows where you have military bases civilian towns tend to spring up around them.

I tried to use most of the castle rebuild mods from nexus and most seemed to have some kind of glitch that made all the walls disappear or relied on things such as Fo4se. The only one I tried that worked really well unfortunately made too many changes ie: moving the main door, moving the road etc etc. Many left those horrible little buggy bits of scrap on the floor that make it difficult to build in the rooms like the one left under the original bed in the generals quarters.

I understand if you wouldn't want to I'm sure it already has taken a huge amount of effort on your part I muchly admire the amazing talent shown by yourself and the many others here with such amazing builds that make it so easy for people like me to get so much more enjoyment out of FO4. Thank you all! :clap

P.S. I am an old fool I just had a look at the build again and did notice this time that in a way the walls have been replaced already with the walk ways etc. /Facepalm :suicide2

Thank you for your response! Yes I did try to get it working but wasn't able to install it correctly to have it work. I don't understand these things too well (bit of an old fogey) and their wasn't any instructions so I could only install it the same way I had with other Nexus mods I have used successfully. I hadn't yet tried to ask on the forum there yet as I was still exploring other possibilities but it does fill the ticket in the simplest way. :grin

Thanks uituit I have saved the link and may go down the path of using NMM or other methods at some point I just really love the ingame bethnet as its about as simple as you can get. Which is useful for an old fart like me! :grin

hehe your not the only old fart here lol

nexus is good :) a lot easier to find mods there to:) NMM can be a pain sometimes but using the manual download method you can still use the bethnet ingame method:)

Hold on a minute? Are you saying that with my plan the walls don't rebuild for you?

That's supposed to happen as the settlement levels up. If it isnt,, please let me know

Greetings
@TimK No I'm not saying that sorry! Maybe I wasn't just clear enough in my ramblings above. I have not actually tried your plan yet. I will be using it if you eventually upload it as an addon to bethnet. I am excited to eventually try it though, it looks great! :yahoo

While I generally like the plans provided with RotC, the Castle plan is too congested, so I will give this a try. I'll let you know if I have any problems. Thanks for making this. I am terrible at building my own stuff.

I attempted to use this, but it is not showing up as an available plan for the Castle. I have the ESL installed and enabled.
