Still cannot find FO4 Creation Kit @Beth.net
Don't send me to old YouTube / other /videos / docs.

Today - what I did to get FO4 Creation Kit downloaded successfully:
Took laptop to WiFi place (15$).
Logged on to WWW. Created new email account just for this -- OK.
at Beth, downloaded launcher. Ran launcher .exe -- OK.
Created new Beth account -- OK. Verified new Beth account via phone thingy -- OK. Verified new beth account via email -- OK.
Logged on to Beth.net via beth launcher -- OK.

No, I repeat, NO ">>>" or "<<" icons beneath triple line icon. No 'tools' drop down.
SAME &&^(*& I have spent hours and hours trying to download FO4 creation Kit before on my home desktop PC.

Now, all you people who keep talking about the ">>>" or "<<" icons beneath triple line icon -- log on NOW and see if you can download CK again.
Do you get the ">>>" or "<<" icons beneath triple line icon? If so, I'm really stupid / blind. If not, all the hoops I jumped through following advice here was / is based on outdated info.
Bottom line: without CK, I won't be creating mods for SS2. I'm not the only one who loses out.

I just launched the launcher (ouch!) and this is what I get:
logging in:
Capture2.PNG

logged in:
Capture3.PNG

scroll the icons on the left:
Capture4.PNG

what is missing for you?

Did you ever manage to uninstall the Beth launcher? If not, it might be a part of the problem and there's still the absolute planet cracker of a nuke of a fresh new Windows installation if you're willing to go that far, I suppose. I know I'd likely call the time of death at this stage, though. At least until I got sick of some other stupid thing Windows was doing.

..... reinstall win 10.... last thing i need right now is another long, frustrating headache,,,, lol runs fine,,, of to bed... night alll

How about a different perspective? Is it possible you are in a country that Beth doesn't allow the CK to be downloaded in? (really weak if true) Have access to VPN where you can change the country to USA?

I did some digging in the win registry and there are a few things the CK registers on install. (mostly file associations and the launcher) I can see if its possible to download and zip it up... Although being licensed software, it may not be legal for me to do so... (I hate reading fine print...)

I thought of that too, but since she has/had the Skyrim CK I dismissed the possible location issue. Also, there may be issues with the EULA (I don't really feel like reading it either) if the software needs to be downloaded via a VPN and I'd personally be super wary of publishing mods made with less than legally acquired software in general.

@ElanaLoaded FWIW Win 10 is quite a bit more user friendly to re-install than older versions, but to be sure it's still not my favorite thing. Like I said, I'd quit before that step (IMO no modding is that pressing, period) until I managed to jumble my computer up worse for something else.

If this refers to my post - I'm in ** upstate ** New York - U$A. If you can help me -re getting FO4 CK - great!

I generally don't edit registry - maybe I should learn.

I have the CK for Skyrim, (now oldrim) years ago - made mods on steam.

Reinstalled XP, and 7. Hated it.

I wouldn't think a re-install would solve the problem if the laptop experiment failed. We have also ruled out region restrictions.

For giggles, what version is your launcher? Its strange you didn't get any update popups when you launched it. I hadn't opened mine in well over a year and it was pushing me an update even with the "auto updates" turned off in the settings...

Another thought. Do you have any security / firewall / NoScript / anti-adware software installed? Something might have flagged the Beth Launcher as "harmful" and deleted it. (that would explain why you are unable to uninstall it, but not why you can still launch it) Or is preventing the launcher from displaying properly.

You may want to try asking the smart folks over here:

I installed the launcher on my laptop that has never had it installed and I get this:
BethLauncherInstall.jpg
BethLauncherAllGames.jpg

Ah, silly me, of course. I have anti-adware software active. Never occured to me to consider this possibility. Other sites detect the anti-adware, and ask me to whitelist their site - if I want in. Beth never asks to white-list -- so I never made the connection.
