FO4 Crash when Gpu hits 100% usage??

Indstead of my frames dropping, my game crashes when i hit 100 gpu usage. There is plenty of Vram unused. I suspect that this is mod related but just can't figure out what it is related to. Has anyone had this kind of problem?

Specs
R5 1600 @3,8ghz
gtx 1070 8gb
16gb ram
game on an ssd
monitor is 21:9 3440x1440p

Sorry took a little time to answer. But I actually found solution(at least it seems like it) before trying your great tips. I uninstalled my 21:9 fixer mod and stated using external program to fix the hud and field of view.

Thanks for the help still!
