Hi everyone,
I did not see any references to a fix for the extreme stat bug on beer anywhere. For reference, the bug causes affected beers to have SPECIAL modifiers in the double digits, I was seeing as high as +/- 90 on my end. I know Kinggath/the SS team are aware of it in some capacity, but last posts I saw were pre 2020.
When I was investigating on my end, it looked like the only beers with issues were ones that had Rad/HP effects; comparing more closely, rad removal was the only effect in common. Looks like removing [MGEF:00023738]: "RestoreRadsChem 'Chem: Remove Radiation'" in xEdit from the ALCH records is enough to solve the issue. I can't hypothesize as to why Rad removal would cause this, but someone more knowledgeable could probably figure that out.
I looked on GitHub but I couldn't find an SS repo. Figured I'd try posting here so it'd get noticed. I could put together a patch for this if there aren't any active bugfix patches on SS1 anymore.
