Hi everyone I'm currently brainstorming new ideas for a new faction pack I'm going to be starting soon as I took a break from modding for no reason but I've given myself a kick on the arse to get back into it so I'd like to share my current ideas for a faction pack and I'd like to know what people think of the idea and if they would like to play with it and if it would add flavour.

Features:
- Comes accross as a top tier special operations like mercenary group
- High-Tech, hostile with brotherhood
- Infantry focused with power armour & Specialist support
- Questline from starting the faction to bigger things
- Bounty quests that represent contracts by clients e.g:
Kill target
Retreive High Value Item
Guard Area
- Custom Uniforms, Army Fatigues + Beret with logo?
- Companion of some kind
- Lore Friendly introduction

- Faction Ranks:
Blackwatch Recruit - Standard Blackwatch fatigues + beret + assault rifle
Blackwatch Contractor - Standard Blackwatch fatigues + beret + light combat chest and arms + laser rifle
Blackwatch Veteran Contractor - Standard Blackwatch Fatigues + Blackwatch Helmet + full mid combat armour + upgraded laser weapon
Blackwatch Expert Contractor - Standard Blackwatch Fatigues + Blackwatch Helmet + full mid combat armour + plasma rifle
Blackwatch Warfighter - Standard Blackwatch Fatigues + Advanced Blackwatch Helmet + Full Heavy Combat Armour + Upgraded Plasma rifle

- Special Units:
Blackwatch Shock Trooper - Power armoured in X-01 + minigun - MUST BE VERY EXPENSIVE
Blackwatch Engineer - Non Combat Unit - Provides boost to resources in outpost?
Blackwatch Flamethrower - Combat Hazard Suit + Flamethrower - Useful in more tight areas
Blackwatch Officer - Officer-like clothing - Provides Morale boost or stat boost to others in battle
Blackwatch Sniper - Stealth Like Outfit - Specialist in long range weapons

This is what I've currently thought up so far, thanks in advance for any feedback.
 
Oh, just a humble thought?

maybe a melee / build in there somewhere?
Knife / swords and whatnot?
an up close and personal kind of build for a melee stealth assassin?
Still, high tech but maybe that uses chameleon armor and such?
just a suggestion. I am a ranged player and use companions myself for close support. Hahaha, so dead opposite of my own play style :grin

Kind of like snake eyes in GI Joe. The twin ninjas. With the swords...

I prefer stealth characters myself...

Splinter Cell: chaos theory is one my all time favorite.

I suppose that would be an interesting and cool special unit to have, don't know if it would be effective in combat due to fallout's ai lol, but it's still a good idea I'll add it to my list.

I’d slap that engineer with a missile launcher and call them a combat engineer :crazy Blowing things up :bomb is what they live fore. :focus

Sappers, they are “Ubique” and “Essayons” is what they do :clap

I suppose that would be an interesting and cool special unit to have, don't know if it would be effective in combat due to fallout's ai lol, but it's still a good idea I'll add it to my list.

I play ultimate survival - Iron Fist maxed out with Blitz maxed out is just fine... maxed out with Action Girl, etc... plus some use crafting framework - put 500 pts damage on something and you are a melee butt kicker …

Having said that - you can build your characters with traits similar...

You can add various combat AI to them as well - Look at Aurora for 2 handed fist combat AI that is absolute kick butt... Vex the Best Knife fighter has knife melee combat AI that is just as great.

Of course, I have upgraded both of them by changing their stats etc...

SKK Settlement Attacks - one of these companions and their AI (there is a hidden Courser Combat AI as well, btw hehehe) … will destroy a full regiment attack of Supermutants - alone... hand to bladed boards/missile launchers.. or Vex and her upgraded knife... one alone is the ultimate bodyguard.

What I am saying is that you can make your characters do anything you want... just give them the right attributes - OP in some areas, weaker in others...

I knew you could customise atributes like that to an extent but I didn't know by how much so thanks for the heads up!

yeah sounds good, just don't want to make too many powerful special units that's why I was initially thinking just have an enginner as a supporting unit at an outpost.

Suicide bombers eh? Well that gives some more options. I'm intending to take a lot of time with this faction pack before I release it so that gives me something to do and think about inbetween trying to learn how to texture things and be able to photo edit a flag lol
 
Yet again I'm aiming this as a liberator faction pack but if I make a conqueror version (Which I will most likely do at some stage) I might just add a few extras
