Question Executioner bug maybe?

Apologies in advance if this has already been brought up, but I couldn't find it on the forum.

This is my first playthrough of Conqueror and Sim Settlements, and I am attempting to kill the Quincy 5. I am able to knock them down, yet I cannot kill them. I received a system alert saying that I obtained the executioner perk yet no matter how many times I shoot they will not die. Is there a known fix?
Any help will be appreciated. (awesome mod btw)

If you get close enough to them to get the talk option, you will see the second option to execute. It's R by default.

EDIT: Thanks for the quick reply. my issue was that my clean hud mod doesn't show prompts so I had no idea I had to press a button to execute. It works!
