Dynamic Patches

I have searched all over and I cannot find the definition of a Dynamic Patch. I am sure it will be a forehead slapper once I see it. I have been using Vortex and found many of my mods don't always work correctly. In the plugins there is an option to change some of the "groups" which mirror some of the mod types but most go to "default". One choice is Dynamic Patches but I am not sure if that means all patches or a certain type. Can anyone help? Thanks.

I haven’t played with Vortex much yet- do they have a documentation page up yet? I think it’s still in alpha, so maybe they haven’t done that.

About the only thing they have as far as documentation is the vids from Gopher.
But a good place to ask would be the Vortex forum.
